While the sentiment all season was that a Ft. Campbell title was a foregone conclusion, I think this is going to be an upset.

 

Mark Sander has brought Desales from languish and obscurity to a perennial contender that runs the ball hard-nosed and are as fundamentally sound blockers and tacklers as you will find in the state.

 

I could foresee them controlling the clock enough to keep Ft. Campbell close and then take advantage of a miscue for victory. I love base teams, but I also love watching fundamental blue-collar football and Desales does that. This could be an excellent game.

Fort Campbell just keeps winning. They won't be denied in this game. 3 in a roll. Wow.

I don't know anything personally about Desales...so all I am basing my vote on is the heart and sole of our Fort Campbell kids. I know that they are out for the 3peat and have a mission to win in honor of our TW#73!!!! Go Falcons!!!

Fort Campbell has struggled to get both Murray and Monroe County off the field the past two weeks, with both running different variations of the Wildcat. DeSales has a line equal to of bigger than Murray. Fort Campbell's defense must find a way to control the line stop DeSales from moving the chains or it could be an upset win for the Colts.

 

I'm looking forward to watching Ryan Johnson from DeSales play.

FC's experience is the differance. They have played in the big game before.
