Hard to believe Jake Smith from NewCath was not at least honerable mention. I didn't see a better defensive lineman all year.

Congrats to all of those selected.

I was surprised that Fort Campbell only had one selection to the Defense as it was one of the stingiest in the state this year.

Congrats to Nick Sears(1st Team DB) and Devontae Beach (Honorable Mention LB) for representing St.X. Jeremiah Neal IMO was the best football player on X's team and should have made some team as either a RB or LB. Congrats to all the young men from across the state who did make it.

Congrats to all!!!

Congrats to all of the players that were selected, what a great honor.

Its ashame Ricky Buckler of Bellevue couldnt get any love and atleast get Honorable Mention. He only ran for over 5,000 career yards and broke like 10 records.

There is one DL that must be so good that he made both 2nd team and honorable mention. I can not believe that there is not a running back in all of jefferson county good enough to make at least honorable mention. Plus, there are a couple of players that were injured early in the year and did not play half the season, yet, made 1st or 2nd team? THE AP poll is not what it used to be. Real questionable, but, still, congrats to all the players that were mentioned. They worked hard and deserve recognition.

Congrats to all who made this worthy distinction!

Special Pat On The Back to one young man who suffered a serious set-back, but continued on to finish out his high school career with the 'Birds - QB William Bardo! Nice job Will... and best of luck at playing at the next level. You will star will continue to shine... good luck on your road to recovery from Friday's surgery.

Congratulations to all the players honored. I am especially happy for the Highlands players who are listed, along with Coach Mueller.

Hey, I am Wilbert's number one fan. But I do agree with every thing else in your post. I get goose bumps every time I watch him on tape return the second half kick off in the state game. That was very cool. :thumb:

Good for Regal Lowe. Very good player.

Congrats to these young men.

How different do you think this list is from what the list that the Courier-Journal will put out later? The one that's voted on by coaches from across the state?

Later.

What makes that play even more special is listening to the half time talk/plan from Mueller.:thumb:
