Final. Roe blocked a Washington 23 yard field goal attempt with less than a minute left to win it.

Monroe is normally tuff but this was one that I need not see coming.

Washington is a good team, they were 9-2 and beat some quality opponents. Mark Perry is one of the undiscovered gems in this state as a head coach.

Awful proud of the way the Falcons fought tonight. Washington is a very quick and athletic team, at one point in the third qtr I thought Roe was going to run away with it, already up 9 we held them to 3 and out but fumbled the punt and also had two TD's called back. But nevertheless the Falcons keep fighting and left with the win.

Great game!!! This one had it all. My hats off to a very good Washington County, these boys were really good and fought extremely hard tonight! This game was a nail biter to the very end!!! I am just on cloud nine at the moment...GREAT GAME, Glasgow losing to FT Knox...home game next week. I guess you could say it was good to get a third round seat in this district. I am sure Green would rather have Knox than Danville nest week!!! LOL

 

By the way, Great job to our other Falcons of Fort Campbell!!!!!

What a difference a couple of hours on a Friday night can make. (Washington County gone, Glasgow gone, Monroe County with a second round home game against Ft. Knox, and next week either Danville or Green will eliminate the other) Things are looking pretty good down in Tompkinsville all of a sudden!!! Go MC Falcons!

Good win for the Falcons tonight over a very good Washington Co. team. Thought we were going to pull away in second half but turnover and 2 TD'S called back made game a close one. Fort Knox coming to Monroe next week will be a good game for the Falcons to get to play on their home field. If Fort Knox can beat Glasgow then Falcons better be ready to play a tough game. Good luck to Monroe Co. Falcons and also good win for Fort Campbell Falcons. One game at a time and keep on going.

Don't let things feel too good, if Fort Knox knocked off your districts #1 team they must be playing well at this point.

FalconBacker is a Fort Campbell Falcon fan. That doesn't change the fact, that things are indeed looking good in Tompkinsville right now, Ft. Knox is no doubt a talented team, but my money is on the Falcons this Friday night.

Just my opinion but if I we're a Danville fan I would be awful concerned about Green Co. and the potential of the regional championship being decided by district 3 for the third straight year, just saying...
