I can guarantee you without a doubt that Monroe is very aware of the fact that the Eagles can do the same thing to us that they did to the Scotties! I agree with SemperFiFalcon that Danville had better get ready for the Dragon train to roll into town! They are running on all cylinders and may be looking for another region trip!!! I assure you that everyone else in the state feels that the standard of football in 2a is not set by the Admirals. Not saying they are not a good ball club and that they are well coached, just saying that they have had their time and maybe someone besides Danville has some pretty good talent! I would say that at least 7 teams are superior to them, maybe not us, but many!!!

Their was a time in the early part of this decade when Danville had a couple of slow seasons, and people said "Danville has had their time." Then they won another state title just a few short years ago. Again, people are now saying "Danville has had their time."

 

I have seen Danville and they are pretty impressive. Their losses this year are to teams still playing in the playoffs and they were early on. While it is true that District 3 has overtaken District 4 in top to bottom talent, I think that pendulum is beginning to swing again. It wasn't 4 years ago that Metcalfe County was the class of your district and Bardstown was the class of ours, and Fort Knox and Washington County and Glasgow were perennial also-rans. Now that is reversed, and Green and Monroe have strung together a few very good seasons. Teams rise and fall, kids talent comes and goes, but for whatever reason for 30 years it has remained almost constant at Danville, and having seen them play, I think it would be foolhardy to believe that a 1 point victory over a team that Danville beat 49-0 is going to translate to some sort of District 3 rematch in the region title. Just my .02.

Danville is very very good...the only thing that plagues them is their passing game. They have a hard time throwing it...but with #16 in the backfield and the line they have...they may not need it.

If Danville wins at Bg it would not surprise me at all! Sam Harp is an excellent coach and Danville is a great program, that is not what I meant by what I posted. I never meant any disrespect for the program, alls I was saying is that other teams in the state may also have a few good athletes also!!! That they are in no way a dominant force in 2a this year, actually no one team has stepped up to say its ours now take it away!!!

IMHO I feel that the 2a title is Ft Campbells until someone takes it from them. As of yet no one but OC has showed that they can do that!!!:thumb:
