Fort Campbell/Pearl Cohn, TN Predictions

Featured Replies

The Fort Campbell Falcons host the Pearl Cohn Firebirds.

How do you think this game will go and why?

I'm hoping that the Falcons pull things together and get the win, but I don't want it to be an easy win for them......they need to fight for this win. They need to see what happens when they work hard together, as a team and come together for something bigger than themselves, bigger than the individuals that some of them are playing like.

Right now, Pearl Cohn sits at 1-1, but are a favorite to head to the state finals for their class with a National Ranking of 981 (per Max Preps).

Later.

In order for Fort Campbell to pull this game out they will need to do a lot of things better than last week. Some of which include: tackling, blocking, not turning the ball over, and fewer penalties. Pearl Cohn will undoutably test FCs run defense, proably with even more speed around the corners than Kenwood had. FCs defense has got to take about four steps up from last week and tackle better (lower). Many of the things I saw last Friday, both on and off the field, are not Fort Campbell Falcon Football! There is still a lot football to be played and I know they can learn from these early season games and pull it together come district/playoff time.

There will be nothing easy about this game for FC. Pearl-Cohn has a half-dozen D1 prospects on the roster and are coming into this game wanting to square the record after losing to FC last year in Nashville. This team had the best athletes of any team FC played last season, they were just undisciplined and didn't play as a team. I still remember the FC players using more ice bags following the Pearl-Cohn game last season then probably all other games combined. A friend of mine that watched Pearl-Cohn play last Friday said their MO is the initial tackler stands up the ball carrier and then the next hitter leaves his feet delivering a vicious hit. They blitz on 90% of their plays.

The FC football players will be the ones that decide the outcome of this game. Should they choose to come out and play Falcon-Ball and realize their potential, they are more then capable of winning this game. Should they choose to be content with their three championship rings, refuse to execute, tackle, etc... it will be a long, long, painful, painful night.

Destiny is in the hands of the Falcons, they are at a crossroads and will decide this Friday which way their season will go.

If all else goes wrong, maybe Pearl Cohn will bring their band.
