So if a defensive player is standing at the free throw line on a break away and the offensive player runs over him on the way to the basket, defensive player doesn't move, it's a foul on the defense or a no call?

I think it will, we are doing the same as far as leaving after semi's. Unless you have a vested interest in a team in the finals I can't see many wanting to wait around that long.

This is a classic. Legal by rulebook definition and even more apparent when you watch the video yet "my opinion is I can't agree it's legal" is the one that will be yelling and posting on BGP all the "obvious calls" that are missed.....

hoops, as you can see by comments in this thread about missed calls, phantom fouls, bogus calls and as you stated clapping when a 6th grader misses a free throw.....people are way over the top about about middle school basketball.

Anyone else trying to watch the live stream of the state tourney!?! How annoying that literally after every made basket they show an instant replay while action continues. :madman: Of course each one is sponsored by a different company but seriously?? Every made basket! Almost makes it unwatchable!! :irked: Glad that starting tonight I'll be down there the rest of the weekend.

If they scenario played out as you described, the "wrong" kid took the ball out, realized this and was simply trying to give the ball to the one who was suppose to inbound I can see how an official would do as this one did considering it is middle school. However, if it was a designed play after a made basket to pass the ball out of bounds, then as stated it would be a technical.
