What Rule Change Would You Make?

Featured Replies

In the pre-game dunk thread we discussed the validity of the no-dunking-in-pregame rule.

What rule would you change or put in place if you had the chance?

The butt slaps and low 5's given by every player to the free throw shooter after a make or miss.....delay of game.

Not sure how you would legislate trash-talking, so I'll go with getting rid of alternate possessions. I hate it when the defense makes a play, then gets penalized 50% of the time.

OUT-LAW all forms of celebration (chest bumps and the like) during announcing of starting line-ups. Total sillyness if you ask me.

What Randy said.

The rest of y'all are no fun. Yeesh....

Eliminate the fist bumps with the officials after players are announced. Total facade.

Couldn't hate this idea more.

In all honesty, the high school game needs to follow suit with the NCAA and NBA and put the semi-circle block/charge line in the lane.

I'd make holding a foul, being out of the coaches box a technical and palming (carry) a turnover....wait. Those are already rules??? Cant wait for the news to make it to the 8th region.

:D

Go to the Ohio rule of only allowing a player to play 5/6 quarters a night and to only allow high school students, to play varsity high school basketball. Grade school kids already can't play Football or Soccer on the Varsity level, so why not just add basketball to the mix.

Because sometimes there's an OJ Mayo out there. I see no harm whatsoever letting a middle-schooler who is ready play up.

Braxton Beverly was outstanding in the state tourney as a 7th grader. Mayo as a middle-schooler as well.

Eliminate the alternate possession. Jump it up on tie-ups.

Games would take FOREVER.

One more thing for officials to worry about.
