I'm sorry, some of the smaller schools throughout our state couldn't field much of a team without middle schoolers.

Let's not even get started on the ball of fun it would be for a scorekeeper to have to reset the shot clock. They can barely seem to work the game clock much of the time. I think you'd have to designate an official for that at every game.

 

It's not that I don't want a shot clock, but there are legitimate reasons why I don't think I'll see it any time soon.

 

Who cares about the initial hassle. Things change all the time. It's something that will help the kids prepare for college ball and needs to get done in every state.

Come on, Spin. NKY runs this website. Smaller schools. Schmaller schools. Who cares what the small schools in the hills have to do to field a team? Maybe if they worked harder they'd have enough high school age kids to play varsity.

Nothing like calling your own fouls. Just think. We'd eliminate crazy parents without referees too. The end of the Trinity/Ballard game would have been awesome. You can't call over the back when there aren't referees there. :lol:

I disagree that it's on the onus of a player driving to the basket to navigate the landing if a defender is directly under the basket. My point is that the line would eliminate that. Is that not why they instituted it in the levels above?

Are you saying that you think a circle would eliminate potential injuries to offensive players if that area inside the circle was eliminated as a spot for the defender to take a charge?

I agree with this and believe that there are a myriad of reasons you won't see one. However, I thought that the lead official reset the clock during game play. Is that right or wrong?
