David Henley.

David Henley.

From North Oldham??

Wow, really?

Why did he leave North? Bad timing for the group of players he left behind.

Congrats and good luck!

Great hire!

The AD at Eastern is a very smart man! And one of the nicest guys I know. Congratulations to Coach Henley and to Eastern HS. You couldn't ask for a better AD to work under.

I didn't see this as a possibility. I thought Henley would move to western Kentucky.

Great Hire for Eastern!!! Congrats Coach!!!!!

Great Hire for Eastern!!! Congrats Coach!!!!!

Coach Henley has broken out from Oldham county, and congrats on the move. Like Dave Ramsey screams on his radio show: "FREEDOM!!!" It's no small task for a man or woman to both teach and coach in this school system, and there is a growing number of accomplished and respected coaches (in boys' and girls' basketball and additional sports) who have left the OC system only to go onto other schools and maintain and/or increase their success.

What are the issues with the Oldham County school sysyem (or North Oldham) and its coaches?

Let it be known that Coach Henley wasn't the choice of the AD. He was overruled in this hire. Rumor has it that the AD wanted to hire a Middle School Coach. Coach Henley has a State Championship on his resume(Holmes). Good Luck!!! Big Shoes to fill!

Best of luck to Coach Henley. Excellent coach and should do well at Eastern.

You may be right. However, I spent the entire weekend with the AD. He never mentioned a middle school coach once. Rumors are rumors.

Congrats to not only Coach Henley, but his family as well.

I'm sure this was also a lateral move for his wife as well or he wouldn't have taken the job.

Great hire by Eastern.
