I watched the game on Fox Sports Net and I am going to say the score is a moral victory for the Raiders.

On a side note, love the Raiders new helmets and uniforms!

What was the goal of the night for Ryle?

Let me start with saying I think they will compete in NKY 6A. I saw enough to believe that. They just do not have Colerain speed but no one in NKY does.

However, it was a dreadful offensive game plan to watch. I get they're a running team and they will have success running. But throw the ball just to keep them honest. There was no need for Colerain to worry about the occasional pass. The end of the first half was baffling. It didn't look like they were trying to score and let the clock run down to try a 49 yd FG.

They can be solid. They just need to pass a bit. Tonight was the perfect night to work on it. Missed opportunity IMO.

Just how many TD's were called back for Colerain in this game? In the little time I watched, there were at least 2 that were called back!

On tangent, I thought the white hat looked good barking out all the penalties on TV.

The Colerain fans sitting near me certainly thought they were getting jobbed. However, I think they ended up scoring on those drives anyway.

Ryle has an awesome complex. Beautiful field. However, the speakers are awful. I left early and you actually hear the PA guy better in the parking lot than you do in the stands. Fix that and it's perfect.

You are quite the optimistic one this evening!

Ryle did their best ... have nothing to be a shamed of.

My thought is that they learned plenty from this game ... as did the Cards.

Many people think/thought that this was a pointless game ... I disagree.

The Cards used the game to work on their passing game.

Ryle did a great job of trying to shorten the game (which is VERY important in the playoffs) and their kids kept swinging.

Very hard for me to believe that they did not help their program by playing this game.

This is where I start to be honest .... how many Colerain TD's were called back tonight? 3 ... 4 ...?

I quit counting after a while.

I will be interested to watch the replay ... to see how many really should have been called back.

Actually being at the game ... I will say this ... Colerain obviously spent 90% of their time working on their passing game (they spent over 75% of their offensive snaps in Empty).

From my point of view ... very smart move.

When Colerain decided to run the football .... they had absolutely no problems at all.

This game will serve the Cards well as they make an effort to balance out the offense.

L.A. is definitely an option qb ... but he has potential passing the ball. (Needs to learn when to fire them in there .. and went to put some air under the ball ... but again .. he did a great job as the night went on).

The Colerain defense was pretty freaking good.

The longest Ryle offensive play that I remember was 6 yards (I fully admit that I could have missed some plays).

The Cards defense may not have the stars that it had last year ... but I feel like they have a chance to be better than last year's defense.

They are selfless ... and they run to the football.

Straight up ... I am a Colerain homer ... my nephew is a defensive starter ... and I felt like a proud uncle (and I watch him with very skeptical eyes). Geesh ... just think .. he could have been at Conner (not like I would have let that happen ... when he could have been a RED and WHITE tiger!)

Good game by both teams ...

I will hand it to Ryle ... they try to make games there an event .... but .... I would have a hard time going there more than once a year.

Not to knock the effort ... but geesh ... its loud!

I know that Ryle loves to pound the skin but they were so vanilla tonight. Why not work on the passing game when you are playing the best defense you'll play all season? Colerain vs X next week, should be a good one.

I have a feeling that #8 for Colerain will be a D1 LB. They said he was 4th in the state in wrestling and at 6'2" 215lbs he's got the size.

On tangent, I thought the white hat looked good barking out all the penalties on TV.

Ha, ha .. I am with you there .... I know that guy a little .... and he was fun to watch.

I am always interested when the C-Train come to Kentucky .... the refs over here are not used to the same type of behavior that occurs across the river! (I wish I could tell you a story about my first time at a Colerain game on the sidelines! ... No need to get banned again just yet!)

Geesh, Clyde! You mean you were there ... heck ... I had our "common thread" with me this evening.

Wish I would have seen you there.

On a related note .... the announcer was good ... but ... wow ... I thought I was going to a football game.

Game was nothing but a glorified televised scrimmage. Pitiful.

Nice summary qs.

Ryle tried to pass at least once but got sacked.
