Ryle shoots well and is well-rounded. The big boy #44 is a nice weapon. Mayes had about 22. Big boy had about 25. #20 had about 20.

 

Hemmerich had 29 for Conner while Drew Barker had 16 in his first action of the season (yes, I know he played a few minutes in the 1st qtr of the first game). He changes the look of the team. When he gets his legs back under him he'll be a bear to deal with.

Mea culpa on my part. I've watched Brady Padgett for 2 seasons now and I would have sworn he was left-handed. He's right-handed. Kid plays hard and is tough around the basket.

Tonight was the calmest I've seen Alan Mullins in...forever. Never heard him yell once.

Congrats to the Raiders as they move to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the district. It's nice to see them scoring points instead of the old Ryle Style of games in the 40s. It's probably been a long time since Ryle has scored in the 70s in 2 consecutive games. I'm sure that having Barker back will make a big difference over time for Conner. Hasn't Conner now lost to all of their county and district rivals in one week? Good to hear about Alan.

Hemmerich is putting up some huge numbers early on. Coach Hicks told me before the season that he would be a matchup nightmare for opposing teams.

I wanted to add a comment to your post. Not only is Brady a smart and tough player, but I was especially glad to see his dad on the coaching staff for Varsity. He is a great person and excellent coach.
