  1. No, smokers are less productive because they take "smoke breaks", smell bad (matters in a sales position), and get sick more often.
  2. I realize Bolden is averaging 19 and Ruthsatz is at 21.4. Any idea on their shooting percentages? FT percentages?
  3. How were you talking to Scott players when you said you were in the Holmes locker room and Scott got there food from the concession stand to go and was back on the road 15 minutes after the game? Been in the field house a few times and safe to say the concession stand and the Dawgs locker room are not right next to each other.
  4. Was just told by one of the coaches at Scott that the three Kenton County Schools will not be making the trip the today... said no buses allowed off the lot...
  5. New Cath wins and it won't even be close. Holy Cross plays a very suspect 2-3 and New Cath will be able to exploit it. As long as New Cath prevents the Tony Campbell outlet pass fast breaks, Holy Cross will struggle to score. I've been wrong before (a lot), but I think New Cath wins 64-48.
  6. I think SK can win this one. They return players from injury and should be at the point where the football players are now in basketball shape. If Holmes overlooks them, they could be in for a surprise. I'll take the Pioneers by 4.
  7. I agree with faxisfax, Louisville Central needs to be in there. Other than that, no arguments
  8. One of the games is Silver Grove on Wednesday night. Doubt starters see a whole lot of minutes.
  9. Long way to travel, but Bir will be too much for JC. I'll take CovCath by 14.
  10. As I recall, Scott beat Holmes in overtime to win the NKY Freshman championship
  11. Holmes has had a good year sitting at 5-4, with wins over New. Cath and Beechwood who are having down years, but still nice wins for the program. A win next week against the Indians and you could say for what was expected and what they were able to do... not a bad year being 6-4 and finishing third in the district with everyone past two weeks saying Holmes " played it closer than expected".
  12. I realize they are in the MAC but how is Ohio not in the top 25? Sweet 16 team that was one possession away from beating North Carolina last year away from the Elite 8 and has everyone back.
  13. Anyone attending the Cavs-Magic game in Cincinnati on Monday?
  14. While James Bolden (Holmes) is not on this list right now, I believe he will be if the list is "re-made" at the end of the season. I also think Tobler (Cov Cath) will be closer to the 5 spot by seasons end. And, just my opinion, Schulte will have a better season than McDonald at New Cath.
  15. My family will be thrilled with this news!
  16. I can't get a read on this Boone squad but I'm starting to believe you are what your record says you are. Congrats to the Raiders.
  17. I'll go ahead and say this post is exactly why Beechwood traditionally struggles in basketball. Are you at practice everyday? Do you watch the game films? Do you have the game box scores and team stats? For anyone to support kids quitting on their teammates and school is embarrassing. Once upon a time kids were shunned by their parents for not sticking it out and earning minutes, now they are supported. I'm sure these coaches want to win. Can you give an example of not playing "your best"?
  18. QB Coston did not play due to injury. Peterson didn't get in during the first half, unsure why. SK's passing game went right through Holmes.
  19. If by turf field you mean better venue then I agree. If by anything else I couldn't disagree more. Tom Ellis field is a great place to watch a game, and always will be.
  20. Kids move from Covington, to newport, to the public schools in Cincinnati all the time. Be suprised the turnover rate that most of these schools have due to family situations and all other matters. Just usually the kid is not 6'8 and a Division 1 athlete.
  21. If it wasn't clean, this thread would be about 5 pages long already. Looked like he was hardly touched in my opinion, but then again, it was the far sideline.
