This is as bad a Beechwood team that I have seen as long as I can remember.

 

Beechwood's Erdman got roughed up in pursuit of a run, then on the next offensive series he left with a leg injury.

 

Holmes has a couple of kids who can make some plays. They still look very sloppy in getting personnel on the field and burn timeout after timeout.

 

The facilities at Beechwood seem to be coming along nicely.

Beechwood scored 14 points late against the Holmes second string.

 

Peterson is on a whole nother level than the Beechwood players.

 

Beechwood drove right down the field to go up 7-0. Erdman gets destroyed on a crack block by Peterson. Then goes down again on offense and never returned. The balloon deflated at that point and Holmes did whatever they wanted to. Bulldogs dline dominated.

That was one ugly football game. Penalties, turnovers, injuries, missed blocks, missed tackles I hope I never see another football game as ugly as that one. Holmes can't even line up on offense and run a play. I am not kidding. They must have had a half dozen delay of game penalties because they couldn't call a play and run it. You will not see a more undisciplined football team. I will give the Holmes coaches credit for a couple very good play calls on offense that came up big for them. But beyond that, ugly. Let there be no doubt though, they have players. Scruggs can fly. Peterson can get open when he wants. They have a number of other athletes that can make plays. Beechwood opened the door with turnovers and poor play early. Then as the injuries mounted, it became the Holmes varsity versus the Beechwood JV and they could not stop the Holmes athletes. Beechwood's coaches are going to have to dig deep to put this together. Next week it will be two teams in desperation mode - Beechwood versus Holy Cross.

Not an issue. The talent is there if healthy. With healthy players, they are 2-0. There were by my count 6 key defensive players who started the game that were on the sidelines early in the second half. Take any team's 6 best defensive players away plus 2 other starters/key players, and how do they look?

Far sideline. Hard to see. It looked to me like he made a hard plant to try and cut back inside from the sideline and it gave out on the cut. The Beechwood coaches did seem upset about something and talked with the officials as Erdman was being looked at.

If it wasn't clean, this thread would be about 5 pages long already. Looked like he was hardly touched in my opinion, but then again, it was the far sideline.
