Cov. Holy Cross @ Newport Central Catholic (Friday12-21)

The 2-3 Indians travel to the "Hill" on Friday against the 7-0 Breds. This will be a triple-header of hoops action with the Frosh at 4:30, the JV at 6:00, & the Var 7:30.

Breds are on a roll at this point, do the Indians put a stop to that???? What say you?

HC is 3-3.

HC Internet Radio will be there to broadcast this game live for those who can't get there Friday night. I will post a link to the broadcast in another thread.

NCC clearly will be favored to win this game especially playing at home. Breds will look to get a little revenge from the 2 Losses at the hands of the Indians from last year, 1 being in the finals of the All A. I hope for a good well played game by both teams and a close game at the end.

It will be interesting to see how NCC plays this game. Will they go right at HC's big guy or rely on their perimeter game. I would go right him. He will undoubtedly block some shots but you also have to show your big men you have confidence in them.

LB13 stop up to the broadcast location Friday night.

Bnut, LP13 is a good guy and my guess is will visit you, as he did to me at the CovCath vs. NCC frosh game! Be nice to him :notworthy: even if he does root for a team on the right side of the wrong side of the river! :-)

TOG, me and LB13 go back a long way. I was hoping maybe he'd stop up and bring me a drink or something. :-)

Damn, really wish I could make it to this game, but my little guy has a game that night.

I predict McDonald scores for the Breds.

He was on a nice little run for the prior 3 games (before Lloyd) averaging about 20 a game.

I think the frosh and JV teams for New Cath will win big time. I expect a close game for varsity think the Breds will come out on top. Will the frosh Smith beplaying?

I will be at my daughters game and not able to make this one. Im wondering what kind of joke cheer the NewCath students can come up with for payback from HC field goal cheer last year. How do you represent a blowout and running clock?? I will take the breds in this one by 15. Get the ball in the paint!!

Depends on the defense. If HC plays zone and packs it in (which I doubt they will do), NCC will fire it up from the outside. If they go man, then NCC should get the ball inside. Campbell is tough, but he can't stop Schulte & Mcdonnald at the same time.

Count on it, with beverage in hand.

For HC to have a chance, Campbell will have to stay out of foul trouble. They are a very average team when he's on the bench. Gabbard, Knochelman & Cox will all have to sacrifice themselves defensively to protect him. If they don't, this will probably be a 20 point plus victory for NCC.
