  1. If BillyG is no longer at UK (which I think he will be) I would like Jodie Meeks to be player/coach for his senior season !
  2. I agree with Holmes, but not with Boone. I feel Boone would benefit more with a slow pace. They can work it inside to Earls, or let Gabbard run set plays. They have many talented role players and could improve some defensively. Players like Cotton and McFarland may play better in an untempo system, but I think their offense is working just fine. Holmes oozes talent. I agree that an uptempo system would allow for more points. However, Henley is a heck of a coach who knows his kids well. I can't argue with a coach who has his team ranked #1 in the state.
  3. Well, while its nice to see a player stay all 4 years, I'd prefer it to be someone that does not play for a rival of my favorite team. He is an amazing person and a darn good football player.
  4. I honestly thought UNC may have the type of talent to go undefeated this season. I will happily say I am wrong (just don't let my wife know, I don't like saying it too much !). Scary to think how good the ACC may be this season. Wake is the real deal.
  5. I believe you may be misunderstanding the presale tickets. The sale is open to anyone, not just Beechwood students/fans. However, they are selling them at Beechwood.
  6. If I'm not mistaken, didn't Romes attend Covington Catholic? I attended the game last year and remember him sitting out. I'd assume he is bringing his "A" game against his old buddies. Where do you get the presale tickets from at Beechwood?
  7. I think people may have overhyped Hunter Jones a little bit. Not the kids fault, but I think more people, including myself, thought he would make more of an impact.
  8. 7-Scott County 5-Boyle County 3-East Jessamine 2-Henry Clay 1-Model TB-Boyle Co.
  9. Florida is going to name the score. No need to make them angry !!
  10. Extremely tough shoes to fill but it seems like a good fit.
  11. He is a Hall of Fame person which is even more important with today's athletes.
  12. Boone looks to be coming together. When the big 3 (McFarland, Gabbard, and Earls) all play well, they are a tough team to beat.
  13. After the loss to Lloyd, I'll go with Conner by 14. I was very impressed when I saw Conner play Covington Catholic earlier this season. Avery is very impressive, and the tall kid changes a lot of shots inside.
  14. Says 17 in the paper. He got some minutes last year and seems to be developing nicely. Who is Fangman? Saw he had 6 points. Also, is Snyder not seeing many minutes or just not scoring a lot of points? Flannigan is a heck of a player for CC. Like Bryan from Villa, he does not have a whole lot of talent around him.
  15. LOL, looks like my rankings last all of 3 hours before they became out of date.
  16. I'll take a shot at it. 1. Holmes 2. Boone Co. 3. Ryle 4. New Cath 5. Scott 6. Campbell Co. 7. Bishop Brossart 8. Beechwood 9. Highlands 10. Conner 11. Holy Cross 12. Covington Catholic
  17. 7- Dixie Heghts 5- Ryle 3- Newport 2-Tates Creek 1- Covington Catholic TB- Newport
  18. This may be the most shocking score in NKY so far this season. Conner has been playing great basketball and Ryle destroyed them. The Raiders are without a doubt a top 3 team in NKY now. Looks like they straightened out the problems from last season.
  19. I believe Holmes will win this game, but I am very suprised how many people picked them in the poll thus far. Tates Creek is a tough team. It seems like Holmes in playing a top team in the state nearly every game. I have been impressed with the results.
  20. 7- Bishop Brossart 5- Boone County 3- Beechwood 2- Doss 1- Shelby County TB: Boone County
  21. Saying Lloyd has been struggling may be an understatement. Newport has been playing solid basketball as of late. I think the fact that last year's Newport team had 0 seniors is paying off this season. I'll take the Wildcats by 19, 74-55.
