Sounds like Mr. Simpson may be in the running for the BGP player of the week!

Miles Simpson Dominated the game. 26 carries 345 yards 4 TD'S. 3 over 70 yards, 2 over 80.

WOW I had to read that two times!! Now that's a game. Nice bounceback from last week for SK.

Is this considered an upset?

No Dixie is going to take their lumps this year and many consider SK the class of 6a in NKY. Dixie plays 2 players with major varsity experience.

Is this considered an upset?
Most years it would be. Maybe not so much this year.

Simpson smashed the old record that had stood for about 25 years. I tried to calculate his yards during the game and I thought he had about 333, but 345 sounds a bit better. Not a good night to throw the skin, but SK needs to find their passing attack. Dixie hung in their, and if not for more than a few dropped passes, it could have been a closer game but with that being said, SK did falter twice in the redzone. On a side note, I witnessed one of the worst calls in the history of football. Dixie down 21-7, the Qb connects with #6, he's close to taking it to the house, he gets hit, clearly a fumble, SK recovers, the refs blow the ball dead and Dixie has it first and 10 in the redzone. Luckily SK held them, but I have no idea what play the referee was watching. Conner is next for SK, the district schedule begins.

I predicted one of those special nights for Miles and sure enough he had one. Congrats young man and keep up the hard work!

Just curious, I'm fairly sure Miles shattered the single game rushing record, but what was it.

The inexperienced Dixie team has played against two of the top runningbacks in NKY the first two weeks of the season. Hopefully the young Dixie squad will turn it around soon. Credit goes out to Mr. Simpson on one heck of a game. Good luck to both teams the rest of the year.

I don't have it in front of me but it was held by Alan Mullins, and I think it was in the 220 range. He was a QB, and played Wr at WKU and the CFL, he now is the basketball coach for Ryle.

As posted on SK Sports Blog, Mullins had 303 in 1981 against Boone.

Man, I was way off, sorry Mr. Mullins.

Good rebound win for the Pioneers!
