Beechwood 29 Dixie 6

Featured Replies

I called this one way wrong (but I did get the Palin pick right :D). Congrats Tigers.

Dixie has a ways to go, especially on offense. Defense did a better job in the 2nd half. Lots of 1st year varsity players that were welcomed to varsity football tonight, but they will get better and the coaching staff will bring them along and they will play better as the season progresses.

Same with Beechwood...they have a lot of experience but also a lot of new varsity players, we will see how they progress and get better through the season

Beechwood's Nieco Teipel was very impressive rushing for 240 yards and so did the quarterback Rigdon who came up big for the Tigers coming in for injured Joe Daniels. I wonder who will be starting at the position next week for Beechwood.

That's outstanding! Wow! :thumb:

How did the JV do yesterday?

Even more impressive since he has a pinched nerve in his back.

Dixie won 41-26

With about 6 1/2 minutes left BW was leading 26-20 but just ran out of gas and healthy bodies.Dixie scored about a minute later to take a 27-26 lead .BW could not get a good drive on to the endzone and turned it over on downs.Dixie came right back and scored to go up 34-26 .BW had a couple guys injured that were big contributers and could not move the ball again.Dixie got the ball back .With 19 SECONDS left from the 12 yard line Dixie ran misdirection with QB to score the final TD.

The BW young men fought hard but just out manned .They only had 16 kids there to against Dixie 35 or so.On the final 2 Dixie scores BW was missing guys to injury and had kids out of place and what subs they had in.

For BW #9,#24,#7,#21 and afew others really shined ,IMO.They fought hard but ran out of gas.#7 played almost all the second half of the varsity game due to injury Friday night.#24 made some great catches to help move the ball and scored a couple tds.

Hopefully the JV get some injured players back tat were not dressed for the game. They will help alot.

Sounds like Nieco has finally figured it out, way to go! Rigdon is a true QB, let's see if it stays that way and allows Daniels to play his true position. Maybe they will get some off the IR list and then be able to move Slusher back to his true positions.

Good luck Beechie Tech!!!!
