  1. How old is Flynn? Not trying to knock him because of his age, just wondering.
  2. I would add Rick Schumate of Beechwood from the way everyone on here is talking.
  3. Good win for the Bluebirds. Congrats to Coach Baioni on his first W as head coach.:thumb:
  4. The way I read into it looked as if the transfers came in for basketball reasons. If that is not the case, then there is obviously nothing wrong with the scenario.
  5. Don't take this the wrong way but.......why Dayton?
  6. Holy Cross is tough this year. I'll take the Indians 6-2.
  7. I think that Highlands team could be comparable to the Central team this year with the big boys down low. I could see J Load and Smith getting Pittman in foul trouble, but the guards for Holmes being the difference makers.
  8. I saw both teams and I agree that CC would have won. With that being said, who cares? There are so many if, ands, or buts throughout the 9th region tournament. What if NCC doesn't hit their last second shot? What if Conner doesn't blow it at the end against Ryle? What if Romas doesn't get hurt for Beechwood? What if Highland's football players play this year? What if Mitch Shover isn't sick all season for Cov. Cath? With all the scenarios, I still see Holmes winning the 9th.:notworthy:
  9. I could also see the 8th grader McClendon leap froging Mayfield for playing time. From what I hear, he was a major player for the JV this year.
  10. Wow, I thought Adair would handle Grayson Co. pretty easily. Should be an exciting Sweet 16!!
  11. Pretty amazing a school the size of Hazard can have such success in both basketball and football like they do.
  12. Boone had a lot of offensive boards in the 4th quarter with Grubbs on the bench. Once the Rebels began to press, the tempo of the game changed against the Birds.
  13. I have seen both teams this season and the PG match-up should be a classic. Buettel is more of an offensive threat with the 3 ball, while Gabbard is the better passer and gets inside the lane better. To me, the difference is inside. Can Smith stay out of foul trouble on Earls? Beechwood has the talent to compete and if the shots are falling, the Rebels are in for a dog fight.
  14. I like Highlands to rebound and win by 13. The bluebirds have a huge size advantage inside. St. Henry may be able to neutralize the big men by making them run on the large college floor. Should be fun to see what strategies the coaches come up with.
  15. It sounds like many fans may have needed some fresh underwear after this game. Very exciting finish! Congrats to the Raiders on the big win.
  16. While I didn't go to as many DIII games this year, I have seen Beechwood play several times. I know in last years games, all of the starters sat basically the entire second half. I imagine the same happened this season. Its a shame players are missing out on awards because their numbers through 2 1/2 quarters (because every DIII game is a blowout) don't match up to players who play all 4 quarters every game. That being said, I believe Bryan deserved player of the year, Romes defensive player of the year, and Snyder deserved Mr. Hustle.
  17. I would say the atmosphere. To have a trip to Rupp on the tip of your fingers could bring out the best in both teams. I totally understand where you are coming from, but I would like to see the teams play in the finals rather than semifinals. Not to mention, I would like to show the 10th region the best two teams we have.
  18. Highlands seems to be a sleeper in my mind. Everyone keeps talking about Boone and Holmes (including myself) but Highlands could knock off either on any given night.
