Freshman Camels move to 5-0 after beating Brossart tonight. Camels were down at half but played a great second half. Camels were led in scoring by Nate McGovney and Jared White with 10 each.

 

Fardo for the Mustangs had a very good game.

Bezold is an incredible athlete - one of the very best ever in our program. Has to learn to harness his abilities and mold them into constructive output. Does some amazing things, but need to convert those things into points on the scoreboard. When he does he is going to become a major weapon.

 

Brown, Hinkel, MKramer, Trentmen, and Jennings are all big, but need some basketball seasoning, maturity, and confidence to become bona fide contenders.

 

The Brossart Mustangs freshmen team is comprised of players from four different grade school basketball programs. They are learning a whole new system and have shown against some "mid-major" programs that they can be dominant. Given some time and experience, I expect them to be major players in the competition for the 10th Region title later on, come tournament time.

The Camel freshman are playing very good ball right now. They are a very well coached team and play tough in your face defense. They are 5-0 and have beaten Pendleton, Scott, Lloyd and Ryle by 20+ each. And, they are playing without Dalton Kennedy who should be back soon.

 

They have two tough games this week with Holmes on Weds. and NewCath on Thursday. Both games are home.
