I hate to disagree, but an inadvertent buzzer that creates an unfair advantage results in the possessing team taking the ball out of bounds close to the proximity of the last possession of the basketball.

Which is why Mason should have gotten the ball out of bounds and no points awarded due to the inadvertent buzzer. Great point Pressrow!

Mason's size and athleticism was pretty impressive tonight. It will be a tough game tomorrow either way. This could be game 1 of 2, the next being the 10th region finals!:thumb:

I've heard alot about the Brewer kid from Newport. I haven't seen him play yet, so anyone have any info on this kid. The McGovney (8th grader) kid at CC has been tough. I believe he has led the team in scoring in all but 1 game so far this year and he's a beast on the boards!

He liked the 3 point shot a little too much and it wasn't falling last night.

They are scrimmaging Calvary Christian tomorrow night at CCMS @ 7PM.

In talking with the 8th grade coach, he is, as of today, playing frosh for CCHS. I agree the green and white folks aren't and won't give up very easily at acquiring his athletic services. He also participated with the JV this summer on a limited basis.

His mom held the scoring title at Brossart for awhile back in the early 90's. The last time I saw him (a few weeks ago) he was about 5'11".

Not sure where you get your information, but he is very much an 8th grader at CCMS, not at St. Mary's, St. Joe's (or any other feeder schools) and definitely NOT at Brossart. In fact he just finished QB'ing the 8th grade football team this past year. IMHO CCHS provides the most opportunity for this young man to succeed and attain the goals he and his parents desire.

In addition to that player, a certain 8th grader at CCMS should be playing/starting freshmen. He will give them a very strong backcourt!:ylsuper:

His younger brother Nick is playing frosh as well. From what I've heard he's huge and hasn't turned 14 yet???? Qryche - is that correct?

And the 5th grade Wolfpack beat them by 3 or 4 a couple of weeks ago.

Considering the weather and the KY Governor’s Cup, the 2008 NKMSBL Tournament has been cancelled for the remainder of the week. First round action will begin on Monday 2/18/08. 7th Purple lost, but 6th Purple won by 16, 37 - 21. The 6th Purple played man for the first time this year (heart fluttering). 7th Purple coach proves more and more every day of his moronic being. If CCMS brings him back next year, I know a couple of 6th graders that won't be playing middle school ball!:fight:

The way the 6th and 7th grade purple teams have played the last two games they couldn't beat Summitview's kindegarten teams right now. Moronic coaching and silly play by inexperienced players.

They did play up. They finished 3 - 7 in the regular season, but made a run in the tournament and ended up finishing 4th.

Scott County should take the ship, however, who plays for Knox Co???

I won't give name to protect their decisions and privacy, but, the one's dad was the BMOC in 1986 and 1987 at CCHS as the QB and all around stud. The other's dad played for Dixie and went to Miami on a baseball scholarship. One is 5' 7", the other is 5' 9". Yes they do attend CCMS.

I don't like the taste of cake. However, I do know 2 kids from our Wolfpack team who go to CCMS, that will be attending Highlands. Both football studs with CC Red Devils as well. (Big Aggressive Linemen)

Middle school teams should be trying to play at least 8 or 9 every game. But then again, they should be at least attempting to play man to man defense at least some. Oh well, my son looks good in green!

Trust me, it's not harsh. I've watched him all year, he's clueless. He has a very good athlete who makes him look good at times. The half court trap defense once figured out is useless, especially with the shooters Twenhofel has.
