Keep in mind the Flight beat the 7th grade team in the 3:00 game after the 7th grade Wolfpack played the 8th grade Wolfpack (who was undermanned and missing a few players) in the 2:00 game. The back to back seemed to really hurt them in that 2nd game.

The Collins kid is definitely an 8th grader at Camp Ernst.

At this point in the season. CC doesn't play in any preseason tourneys and seem to get off to slow starts year to year.

Blessed Sacrament swept CCMS Purple tonight. There were not standouts really on either squads for the 7th grade. Geiman hit the first 3 shots for Purple - all 3's - IN THE BEGINNING OF THE 2ND QUARTER!!!! 7th Purple spotted Blessed Sac 17 - 0 in the 1st Quarter. And ended up losing by 18. In the 8th grade game, Franzen and Barth were in double digits for CC Purple. However, Frederick??? for Blessed Sac went 8/8 from the FT line and sealed the deal for Blessed Sac after Purple led pretty much the entire game. It was evident CC Purple was missing "something" er "someone" last night. It's a long season though.

First the answer to your last question. I'm unsure of USSAAA requirements and BCI's are non existent. If you show up with your fee to play, you play. You can be in the U12 division and have 3 15 year old and you're playing at the BCI. Secondly, the only time/place grade exceptions are checked would be State and National AAU Championships. You can go on their website, http://www.aauboysbasketball.org, and read all the requirements and rules that go along with AAU. If you are a coach, you need to know these rules - by heart! Spindoc said it right, a line has to be set somewhere. No matter where it's set, there will be complaints. That is a life lesson - no matter what the situation or circumstance. I think the best way to do it, is to require the player to be eligible to play sports their senior year in high school. However, those rules are set by each state, so when you get past the state level in AAU there could be inconsistencies from state to state and that would cause a problem at the National level. What's very funny - we've had these discussions the past 2 years. :laugh: Finally,

They are scrimmaging Calvary Christian tomorrow night at CCMS @ 7PM.

The 1st week of the season starts next week. Here are the matchups. 11/17 Highlands @ CCMS Gold 11/18 Blessed Sacrament @ Highlands IHM @ Newport 11/19 Blessed Sacrament @ CCMS Purple 11/20 Beechwood @ Woodland Holmes @ Twenhofel Summitview @ St. Pius Turkeyfoot @ Sharp WOW! Holmes @ Twenhofel the first week. That will be an interesting game at the 8th grade level.

Q - It looked like the coach was trying to be "nice" to his bench last night. The first 6 played pretty decent.

Maines is and has been at Conner. Q may be thinking of Mayes - who is and has been at Gray.

The NKMSBL schedule has been released to coaches and AD's. The postseason tournament starts on the Saturday of the 8th grade state tournament at the KBA.
