  1. I still laugh at 7th region fans saying IF Justice played in the 7th he would be an average point guard. Then SV picks up J'town on schedule last game of the year, drives all the way to Louisville, Justice drops 31 on them, has J'town down 21 with a couple minutes to play, beats them by 15 (in front of Pitino I might add), and drives back to eastern Ky.
  2. So you think we are going to get 6 or 7 5-star recruits from now until May? No, maybe a couple which means he has to fill his roster with other players. Speaking of Carter, I think everyone knew he couldn't play when UNC and UK were recruiting him. He was a project that didn't work out. AGAIN, Sewell and Justice have the same type of full ride offers. Did Sewell get a scholarship offer from UL? NO he did not. If he wanted to play for Pitino he would have to be a walkon just like every other senior in this state.
  3. Just got word that one of UK's asst. coaches contacted SV's coach earlier this week about Justice to UK for next year. They said they will have atleast 6 or 7 scholarships open next year and are interested in getting a few more guards for next year. Brandon Knight is a lock for Ky I believe, but I bet that was an interesting conversation.
  4. Add Army, Navy and East Tennessee State to this list of colleges who have offered Elisha Justice full rides.
  5. This is a great video regardless if you are a Louisville Trinity homer or not. haha!!! Elisha Justice highlight film on Youtube.
  6. When is Mr. Basketball voted on, before or after the Sweet 16? This will be a major thing to consider when talking about Mr. Basketball. Does anyone know?
  7. I agree. But J'town and Manual may have something to say about that.
  8. Eastern always seemed to be one small notch below Ballard all year. Sounds like a good one though tonight. Eastern will be in the top 2-3 preseason next year with A LOT of talent back.
  9. Last time I checked Justice dropped 31 on J'town and won by 15 at J'town. J'town won their district and is still alive unlike Trinity.
  10. Let me say again, Sewell and Justice both have D1 FULL RIDE SCHOLARSHIP offers from a lot of midmajor D1 schools. Justice, unlike Sewell, chose to pass these offers up to walk on and be a part of a Big East team. I hope you can understand this. A couple of you are making me think this is in Spanish or something???
  11. Let me say again, Sewell and Justice both have D1 FULL RIDE SCHOLARSHIP offers from a lot of midmajor D1 schools. Justice, unlike Sewell, chose to pass these offers up to walk on and be a part of a Big East team. I hope you can understand this.
  12. Not everyone gets 1300 boys to hand pick out of Louisville and the surrounding counties to play with either.
  13. Don't forget Sewell and Justice have full rides on the same level of D1. Justice just chose to go bigger and go to the Big East.
  14. I agree. Mr. Basketball winners need to at least win one post season championship (district, region, or state) in their career. Sewell unfortunately has has not won any. I think it is now between Elisha and Rico.
  15. I still say Mr. Basketball winners need to atleast win one post season championship (district, region, or state) in their career. Sewell unfortunately has not won any. This hurts his chances as well as being from a large, private school. I think Rico and Elisha are now the front runners unless one of them don't get out of their regions. Just my opinion for what it is worth.
  16. Two of top four in state go down in first round of region. WOW! We all knew the 7th would be crazy and wild!!!
  17. Trinity's loss tonight in the first round of the region opens the door up for Elisha.
  18. http://www.courier-journal.com/article/20100221/SPORTS05/2210354/1031/SPORTS05/Trinity+s+Josh+Sewell+playing+like+Mr.+Basketball The Louisville paper even polled the coaches and it is a lot closer than you think. Your own area paper had Sewell 17 - Justice 14 votes. Trinity has 1300 boys to SV's 250. They should be a lot better team. Justice has meant a lot more to SV and to Ky high school basketball than Sewell has over the last four years up to this point of their careers. Trinity has beaten and lost to some very good teams this season and Shelby Valley has beaten and lost to some very good teams this season. I was just stating this race is closer than some of you people want it to be and the next week or so will decide the race in my opinion.
  19. The Mr. Basketball Race: A tale of two seasons. The first half of the season saw Trinity and Josh Sewell win three regular season tournaments (KOB, Republic, and LIT) and Sewell became the leader for Mr. Basketball. The second half of the season began and Shelby Valley wins four tournaments (WYMT, 15th Region All A, All A State, and 59th District) and Elisha Justice looks to be the favorite for Mr. Basketball. With Elisha Justice winning another post season championship and Josh Sewell losing another one, Sewell has only one more chance to win a post season championship. If Sewell loses in the region, he will graduate with NEVER winning a post season championship (district, region or state). This would really hurt Sewell's chances of winnning Mr. Basketball especially if SV makes a deep run. Hang on folks, the Mr. Basketball race could be decided in the next week or so depending on how Justice and Sewell's teams play out.:ylsuper: Good luck to both individuals and to both teams!
  20. Here are the odds in Vegas! Shelby County 2-1 Anderson County 4-1 South Oldham 8-1
  21. I think you need to get out in the state and see Bowling Green's Chane Behanan. He already has committed to Cincinnati in the Big East. He will have to beat him out first and foremost next year.
  22. You have to be a senior to win Mr. Basketball. Timmy Knipp is a junior.
  23. I think whoever finishes the strongest out of Justice or Sewell will win it. Watts hasn't ever won anything in his career including this year. He has never been to Rupp even though his team has been favored in the past, although his team could still get there this year.
