I didn't say they scored 30 points in every game I said they AVERAGED 30.3 points per game. If you don't believe me you can added it up and divide by 10 like I did, My point it wasn't a lack of offense that was their problem last year.

I know by your screen name you may have a limited look at Dixie Heights so you should look at their performance against teams other than the #2 team in the nation and you would see outside of the Highlands games they averaged about 30.3 points a game so I would say it was a defensive issue.

Does he have any D1 offers? How big is he? The recruiting game is funny Lawrence is very good and as good as Hemple in my opinion but sometimes size plays a large factor.

I was not trying to slight these young men. I was just stating the last 2 D1 QBs from NKY didn't start as Sophomores. I should have said D1 Scholarship QBs. Side question what do you think is the main difference that College coaches see in Hemple that he got a D1 offer and West who did not. I think they are very similar and would give the passing edge to West. (Could be I have seen him throw it more)

Yes Wilson was the QB and he threw for 2500 yards and rushed for 800, he (Wilson) did not play defense which anyone who watched the Colonels knows that is where they struggled. Being a History person you should realize that neither one of the last two D1 QB's in NKY, started at QB as a sophomore. I am not saying he will be a D1 QB but he will be a D1 player as I trust the college coaches that are assesing him to know what they are looking for a whole lot more than you.

But Zeke will never compete in a high school sport at 19. He just turned 17 this month. So there are plenty of 18 year olds he will compete against this year and next and I bet you wouldn't see a problem if he played in Ft. Thomas.

Funny I thought about putting him on the list next but only saw him play 1 time but he was awesome that night and wasn't sure if he was always that good and apparently he was.

For NKY I would add Corey Farris. I would rank the best I have seen play in NKY 1.Alexander 2.Frisk 3 Farris 3 Simpson Statewide I add Michael Bush I know he finished his career as a QB but he was a pretty good running back as a Junior or So. which ever year I saw him play at Highlands.

What don't you agree with the facts I laid out in front of you? Making it to the state Championship game is a great feat do you know how many schools have made the 4a/6a title game in the last decade besides X or T answer 4. Exactly 1 of those four teams defeated X or T in the playoffs to get to the finals. So you are correct that they haven't made the finals since 1994 but they have won more consistently in the playoffs than any of the current 6A schools in NKY. I am sure you will not agree with that but that is also a fact. I really hate having to defend Boone, but facts are facts.

Boone has played in the regional championship 5 times in the last 8 years winning 2 of those games with all of their regional losses coming to the team that played in the state finals. While Ryle and Conner combined have only played in 1 regional championship during that span, and Ryle made it to the finals without playing a team from Lexington or Louisville. I am by no stretch a Boone fan but to say they have been on a downslide for years is not supported by facts. Were they down last year? YES, but most schools have up and down years.

Wilson started the 1st two games got pulled in the Simon game. DeMatteo started the Cov. Cath. game and got knocked out like the 3rd play Wilson then came in and never looked back.

Then why bother.

I believe the only important stats in sports is the Wins and Losses, Everything else says hey look at me, but that is the society we have become. Player/Parent: "I (my son) had 25 tackles" Me: "What was the score" Player/ Parent: "we lost by 10, but I (my son) had 25 tackles"

They should have never called those two fumble plays inside the 5 yardline last week. A good coach would never call that play there. Coaching is over rated and execution is way under-rated by some.

Has Highlands won so many championships they now need to create championships to win?

Simon Kenton I believe beat 3 Number 1 seeds last year, Lafyette, Boone, and Male. I am not sure if Male was a 1 seed or not.
