I am pretty sure he was a Defensive Coordinator at Cov. Cath at one time and I think he went to Newport but I am not sure. I don't know if he coached last year or not.

I hope for Scott High school he does. I just have to ask why would he want to leave G- town for a High School job does he have some sort of connection to Scott High School?

Being good at one sport does not make you a good Football player.

This is why Site Based councils were created. But if a school is hiring the person as a teacher and a coach the people who have a degree in education might know a little more about the persons abilities in that aspect than someone not trained in education. After all a High School's job is to educate students not win Football games. It is great when you do both.

Per the Trinity stats website - Trinity's starting offense had a stretch ranging from the 2nd quarter of Game 6 v. Ballard to the 3rd quarter of Game 12 v. Ballard in which they scored TD on 48 straight possessions, discounting the possessions that ended because of halftime (not downs, turnover, or punt). After reading this I got interested in Trininty's offense and found this. Here is an amazing Stat about Trinity from since 1999 only 3 KY schools have held Trinty to 14 points or less (not including the rain out game). Can any one name those schools?

I agree but if a kid lives in a certain school district and doesn't want to go to that school even without open enrollment they have options. Winning is the biggest draw for athletes IMO.

I just brought it up because looking at the KHSAA website I realized these 6 schools are the winningest schools in NKY during this decade, and thought it would be nice to see Highlands - NCC these 2 having a the same amount of wins (on the field) play. Boone and Cov. Cath did not play this year so I wanted to see that rivalry renewed and I like the Dixie- Beechwood game. Of course the Big game would be NCC- Highlands.

I agree Facilities help but lets not forget that Dixie Heights had arguablly the worst facilities in NKY until 2 years ago. There is a lot more to winning than Facilities. It wasn't the facilities that had students choosing to go elsewhere.

For WR I'll add Detmer (Dixie). You nailed the rest and I will try to think of a few more.

I know most scedules are set but how about this idea for a bowl event in NKY. Take the top 6 programs in NKY based on number of wins in this decade, and you could have these match ups. Highlands - NCC Dixie Heights - Beechwood Cov. Cath. - Boone Co. I think getting these 6 teams at one place together you would get a great crowd and see some good Football. Then the next year you could have Highlands - Boone Dixie Heights - NCC Cov. Cath. Beechwood. or any Combination of teams with the exception of Highlands, Dixie, and CCH

I think they need a Highlands Guy so every week in district play a bird could beat up on Cov. Cath. lol

They will go 16-0 next year and Win 2 State Titles, then in 09 they will go 20-0 and win State in every class. becoming the 1st undisputed State Champions in KY history.

No way Highlands D in 04 gives up 26 points the in 12 of their games that year they only gave up 12 points total

I say meet in the finals but the only class where it has ever been set up so that could happen is 4A(old) or 6A (new), in the old 3A often the 2 best teams were in the same district.

1998 is the last time that either T or X didn't appear in the Title game.

I wasn't making a stab I was just saying it isn't just the State Titles that make him a great coach it is the fact he is a good person like many others.

Do you really think that is the case? I believe that most coaches work hard and I believe in 1999 when NCC went 4-8 he worked just as hard. There maybe some people who try to cut corners but I don't believe they last very long. A coach is successful not only by winning State championships but when they turn out outstanding young men. Something I think Bob Schneider, Dale Mueller and many other coaches we have here in NKY do. I thank all those who Coach our young men. I know how my Football coaches helped mold my life, and Winning a State title is an awesome thing to do but there is more to being a good coach than putting trophies in the cases. NKY coaches do a great job in my opinion.
