Wow, they loss to CCH twice, Holy Cross (in 8 innings), and Henry Clay, and they haven't played anyone. (maybe because they haven't played Ryle). What do you think LLoyd's record would be agianst these teams? and Dixie's record against Lloyd's opponents.?

Would it be fair to say the level of competition might have something to do with that? By the way Lloyd has lost 2 games. As far as this thread I would guess the 34th isn't the toughest district in the 9th. I would say 35th and 33rd each have at least 3 teams that could win the district.

Summer is not paid a teacher is paid for working 187 days you can spin it how you want but it simply is not true that teachers are paid for the summer. Vacation time is not always earned some places give you time off. Snow days are made up. I would bet most people get off the same paid holidays that teachers do (New Years day, MLK day, Memorial day, and Labor day) You could probably use your vacation days to attend any event(Tournament) you want. I believe most teachers probably plan during planning periods, in the real world you probably can run errands at lunch time try doing that in the les than 30 minutes teachers get. I would like to know about the 10 days they get to do what they want with I don't think my wife is aware of this Perk. This is simply not true if a teacher takes time off without pay their checks are affected for months at least my wifes checks were. Than go get a degree become one then get your mandated masters degree for about 10 grand, don't worry they will reward you with about a 3000 raise.

No teachers do not get paid for the summer their salary is based on 187 days of work. They get checks for the summer but their salary is divided by 26 pay periods. (At least this is how my wifes district works) She gets 10 sick days and 3 personal days, and zero paid vacation days. No complaints I just found it funny when someone said take vacation days, because teachers really do not have paid vacation days like most careers.

My point is teachers get zero days of paid vacation. I was responding to someone saying coaches have to take vacation days, but teachers don't get vacation days.

Being married to a teacher I know that many teachers would like to take a paid vacation... They just don't get any paid vacation days.

Do not take this as a knock on Ryle because I think raising that kind of money is awesome, but I do think it would be difficult to start a fundraising campaign without any coaches. Considering the people they may try to hit up may feel ties to the schools that will feed into them. It may take time for the community to feel ties to Cooper High. However down the road I would say they could have a chance to fund raise. I do agree with others that the timing is going to make it difficult to compete on the varsity level. Did Ryle play varsity football their 1st year?

Wait until Allen is gone and if the domination continues I will agree with you. The second bolded part is funny. They lost to 4 NKY teams last year. 2 of them beat them by more than 4 TD's I am happy as anyone for Ryle and their turf but, I am not willing to call them the most dominate athletic program in NKY, as much as I hate to admit it I would have to say that school is in Park Hills.

Good for Ryle High School and the community. The gift from the Borland family is impressive, it is also impressive to raise 100,000 in less than a month. I believe sythetic fields are the best route for high schools and the community surrounding the schools because they allow for so much use.

I just wanted to say WOW about this Holmes team I thought With all Dixie's seniors they would keep it close, but Holmes is way to good for them. You were right and I was wrong. I will be pulling for Holmes. They are the best team from the 9th I have seen in years

Funny and probably the play that most Highlands bashers like most, Except Dudley and Lynn who wish it was made a few weeks earlier.

I was at that game and if I remember right they probably would have beat Dixie in the regional if Jefferson didn't get a T. I realize Holmes is the better team but the better team does not always win. I think Dixie which has a lot of seniors will play tougher in a loose and your career is over game than people are giving them credit for. I am not saying they will win, I just expect a closer game than 15 points.

I was unaware that NCC was such an athletic team.

And if ST. H plays like they did against Boone, and CCH plays like they did against Boone CCH will be run out of the gym. (or maybe did Boone have something to do with that)

Are you sure using this logic Holmes already beat CCH twice so we wouldn't need to play the finals either.

After reading this thread and the Holmes Dixie thread why are we even playing the semi-final round we could just play the finals and tell St. Henry look you lost to Cov. Cath. by 23 and Dixie Holmes could have named the score on you. So it is not possible for you to win and if it makes you feel better Dixie gets 3rd place because they beat St. Henry in the regular season.

I agree with DHHS, Dixie may not win but with all the seniors they have I believe they will go down with a fight. I hope Dixie wins because I like rooting for the underdog, but of course I know they will not win because, Holmes already beat them this year (by 15 points without anyone playing for them and it could have been worse) and no one ever has lost to a team in the regular season then beat them in the post season.

I believe a simple answer is Skinner's daughter goes to Villa and not Bellevue.

But they could be called for illegal use of the hands if the reiever is in a pass route.
