Coach McWhorter has resigned after 10 years with Lincoln County.

Big loss to the program and to the school. Must be more to this.

Wow, didn't see this vacancy coming. I wonder if she's moving on to something else?

Does anyone have any news on this one? Why is she stepping away from Lincoln Co.?

This is why I hate the demise of local newspapers. The Advocate Messenger eliminated their full-time sports position so news on these things is now hard or impossible to come by from any type of legitimate source.

Really? That seems crazy based on what she's done there and all the 45th district titles she's won.

The interior journal, Stanford’s hometown newspaper, said she was given an ultimatum. She could resign or other measures would be taken. Not sure why. I thought she was an amazing head coach and I think it took all of us from Lincoln by surprise.
