The AD at St. Henry pulling Sullivan and Kes within 2 years is an incredible accomplishment!

Curious on a few things with this opening. Was Swiney just a 1 year plug after the coach resigned late? Was that agreed upon by both parties and he wants to get back to just teaching?

Most good programs begin open gyms and weight lifting in April. You also need to start signing up for summer camps soon I would imagine. So getting a coach in there sooner than later would be a priority I would think.

Chance to move to the boys side and coach at a traditional power house. I know he's built something at GRC and its a well oiled machine at this point. If he ever has intentions of getting into coaching boys this would be a good opportunity for him. Does he still have family in the area?

Heared a rumor (Yes, I said rumor) they may be trying to lure Robbie Graham from GRC to fill this position. Anybody else hearing the same thing?

This is getting ridiculous across the board. How are these kids going to handle adversity in the real world? See if mom and dad can get them out of the situation again?

Any additional info on this one? It's crazy to think someone who been there 6 years and won roughly 72% of his games and making it to the regional tournament every year would be let go after one rough season.

Is there any update on this position? I have not seen the job posted to Boone Co. employment page and I have not heard any word about interviews. June Camps are coming up and to not have a coach in place is a rough start.

Again this is from my understanding. The players former AD has to do some form of paperwork and also has to let the admins know they will need to release their transcripts. What sometimes can hold that up is the AD/Coach. Admins can use transcript hold ups for things like debt the player may have built up. Example if a player hasn't turned in their uniform or still owes money for their travel suit. Schools can hold up transcripts for transfers or even graduation until it s settled. Sometimes this can be an easy and smooth process and sometimes it can get dirty.

Here is my understanding of how transfers work in Kentucky. If you have played ANY amount of time on varsity and transfer you are automatically deemed ineligible. You have to get with AD on the paperwork ASAP and get the information to the KHSAA. Change of residence is usually a simple process with proving where you live. Going from Private to public is a little more complicated because it's a matter of using the phrase, "financial hardship" as to why you are no longer staying at said private school. Going to another public school without a change of address comes down to having some form of approval from an admin as to why you are now planning to attend said school. Once any of these criterias are met the KHSAA will review the case and make a decison on your immediate eligibility. A lot of the time comes down to things like how long did the student/parents take to enroll said child into the school. How long till the new school got the kids transcripts from their old school to submit to the state. There are a lot of factors that go into this which is why some siutations are different than others. I've seen kids cleared in time for summer scrimmages and preseason workouts. I've also seen cases where it took till the end of December to get a kid cleared to play. Just know that not all cases are the same.

Any reason why he stepped down after only one season? Is he going after another coaching position?

I'm hearing he was asked to resign and he initially refused. Any truth to that rumor?

It's also my understanding that private is slightly less pay than public. Mainly due to the Federal requirements and all the paperwork you have to do. I could be wrong but that was at least what I have been told in the past.

Sullivan applying and not getting the Conner job may have something to it that hasn't been really mentioned. They hired Nate Browning, who was already a teacher at Conner Middle if I'm correct. Which means the principal didn't have to find a teaching position for him. I'm not sure what Sullivan teaches but maybe there wasn't a position open and just hiring Browning was easier.

Just curious as to why this would be nonsense? Didn't he leave Holmes to be the HC at St. Pat and then an asst at Mason Co.? He may be a NKY guy but if there isn't a quality job open in NKY why would he not entertain the thought of going to Scott Co.? I've heard the S.C. volleyball job may be opening up as well.

Does anybody have any details on this game? I honestly expected a closer score.

Would you say that Dontaie Allen didn't deserve Mr. Basketball in 2019? he only played in 13 games.

Curious why the job was open in the first place.
