Athlete7
Will Coach Hatcher have his troops ready to do battle and win the 14th Region?
youknowme
No. JBS should win the 14th region title.
westsider
I hear that Perry Central's talent is down somewhat, but Hatcher will probably have them in position to contend by March.

Master of the Hardwood
Top 2 teams by far are JBS and Hazard (with the addition of Whitaker at the point) Everyone else will be playing for 3rd. There are a lot of pretty good teams: Letcher Central, Buckhorn, Breathitt(not as good without Noble), and Perry Central. Any one of these teams could knock Hazard or JBS off on a good night, but would be hard to go throught the regional tourney and come out as a the champs! JBS and Hazard both will have to make major mistakes not to be the teams in the finals or semi's depending on how the draw comes out! If they get put in the same bracket, this could open up a shot at one of the above mentioned teams to get a big shot at going to the state tourney. Good luck to all the teams in the region, practice time is almost upon us and games will start before we know it! Can't wait!
Athlete7
Who is the new 6'9 transfer at Perry Central? I heard he transfered from Gary, Indiana.
dano2407
Hey don't underestimate PCC. I don't like PCC but i hope they can at least give teams a good challenge this year. Unlike last year.
Master of the Hardwood
The 6'9" boy is a freshman, good hands and is working on his speed, little slow right now. They also have a new 6'4" sophomore that just got here last week, pretty good player.
Ms Liberty
I think it will be up for grabs.
The Professor
Perry County Central's always in the mix, but this year I think the top 3 teams are June Buchanan, Hazard, and Breathitt County, in that order.
Saints09
How does Hazard look this year, I know they lost their top player from last year, do they return enough to compete with June Buchanan?
Augger
PCC can not beat JBS, Breathitt, Buckhorn, or Hazard. I have spoke to a few people from PCC and they expect for PCC to have the schools first ever losing season this year. Only 8 home games and a brutal schedule. nomorenoles
JBS has to be the team to beat. But on any given night at a regional tournament anything can happen.
Big Game Player
Heard some transfers from Bell or somewhere near that are now wearing Hazard uniforms. Seen one of them the other day at the preseason panaroma and someone mentioned they were a transfre and I don't believe he played last year for Hazard. Perry should be down this year just because they have a new coach and lost a lot the past couple years but a 6'9'' transfre should help that a little. I look for Hazard and Al Hollan to be at the top right behind June B. June B. has worked hard all summer in AAU Ball. Stepp even turned down some other big AAU names and offers to stay and play with his team. Breathitt should have potential but look for them to struggle with a full court press or setting up a cosistant offense since Noble left, but someone will step up just havent seen anyone. Justin Hollan could handle it but that takes him out of his natural position at the 2 spot. Should be exciting to see who can compete with these teams as the season progress. Big Game Player
I forgot Cordia....I believe this could be one of the upset teams being led by Hurt. This team shot the ball consistantly throughout the game againest Owsley. They also have some size with a big boy down low that has to be one of the top 5 big men in the region.
