How big is Justice? I saw Valley play Perry Central this past season and nobody on Valley's team looked like they had the potential to play for the University of Arkansas. A University of Arkansas type player would of had 30 or 40 against Perry Central easily. Arkansas signs the same type players as the University of Kentucky. I for one would love to see Justice go to Arkansas but I dont think he has the size or scoring ability to play against guys 5 or 6 inches taller than him and just as quick night in night out.

Steve Poppas is the most honest man I know. I think he would be the perfect man for the job. He just loves the kids and he is not about politics at all. He is probably the best referee to ever call a game in the 14th Region. When you vote for someone, vote for Poppas. :dancingpa

Allison Feltner from Perry Central could play college ball at the small college level.

Hatcher is treated like a GOD at Perry Central. Basketball is all the people of Perry County care about so I dont see why he would be unhappy. He done a heck of job this year and has his entire team coming back except for Kelly. Hatcher may be wanting to get closer to West Virginia though and being at Greenup is pretty close to home. Hatcher is getting an AAU team started right now in Perry County so he may be staying a while. I hope he stays. If you get him Greenup, you are getting the best coach in Kentucky.

If you can get Alan Hatcher at Greenup County you are very very lucky. The man flat out knows the game of basketball.

I think you should have a state champion in every classification and then have the Champions all play against each other at Rupp of the Overall Title. A State Title is a State Title. I am for the class system. Some teams never have a chance at all in winning a state title. I just thinks this gives everyone a chance. How ofter could little Leslie County win the boys sweet 16? Maybe some day they may have a team good enough to win the State Class 2A Title. If 47 other states are doing this, there must be some benefits to this. And wouldnt this be an incinitive to make coaches work harder as well. If a person knows they have a chance, they will work harder and put more effort into what they are doing. People that dont have a chance a lot of times quit.

Lets say the same classes that we have in football for basketball. 6A - Scott County 5A - Mason County 4A - 3A - 2A - 1A - University Heights Who'd win the others? Theres 3 other titles that are vacant. Might actually give these other programs something to shoot for year in year out.

Letcher Central will be very very good. All those 8th grade holdbacks will be playing again and they are very talented.

7th Grader Whitney Back is very good at Perry Central. She plays like she is 18 already from what I hear.

Well if I were coaching a team against Whitaker, I'd tell my players to hound him, hack him, hold him, and flat out wear him out. He is little and weak. If he would get in the weight room, that may improve his game some. A good physical defensive team can shut him down. Perry Central was way to easy on him. I'd put about 10 or 15 good hard fouls on him a game if my kids couldnt keep up with him. Hazard will have Eric Back playing next year hopefully and they wont have to rely on Josh so much. Hazard will have a 2 headed monster next season. I just pity whoever has to coach PCC next year because without Kelly, thats probably 3 or 4 more losses to the Dawgs. Good run this year Hazard. You have a fine basketball team.

I heard from a reliable source that Jessica Melton was transferring to Breathitt County next year to live her Aunt and Uncle. If PCC loses her, who will run the point?

Perry will pull this one out by 2. Look for the score to be in the 20's or 30's. I cant wait to see what Hatcher runs tonight. He is the best coach I have ever saw in this region. Good luck Dores.

I still believe Breathitt would of won the game. They just had the best team overall. But with Sturdivant you never can tell what she will come out and do. Shes a heck of a player. Hope she's okay.
