Just a few thoughts for now.

1. I thought X had a great season, and as usual exhibited a great amount of determination and class, except for one player. This player did the following:

a) Threw the ball in a Trinity player's face after a kick off;

b) After the measurement on fourth down with 2 minutes to go, picked up the ball and walked off with it; and

c) Refused to shake any Trinity player's hands after the game, as he went to the other endzone, alone, away from his disconsolate teammates.

2. How about the east side of the bracket now.

3. I guess Trinity's schedule of "cupcakes" didn't hurt them too bad.

4. Brent Curley is a warrior and displayed an unbelievable amount of toughness.

GO ROCKS GO!

X's 6 points were the lowest for an X team since...

not Manual in 03, 04 or twice in 05...

not Male in 03 twice, 04 or 05...

not Warren Central in 03 or 05...

not Henderson County in 04...

not Lexington Catholic in 03, 04 or 05...

not Highlands in 05...

not Bowling Green in 05...

not Moeller in 03 or 04...

an 0-4 Trinity team held the Tigers to 6 in a 17-6 win forty games ago.

Great job D!

Interesting personal sidenotes for today....

three former St. Gabriel players were mentioned in the CJ coverage today!

Bryan Cardenas-X

Elliott DeWeese-T

and ex-T player-turned super-T-fan...Tony Carraro!

Many thanks as well to the various Grade School coaches at St. Gabriel for helping these young men become the players they are today!

I think I know someone in that picture...

I know, I know… Glaser “says” things all the time. But!

He has been telling 8th graders “Why would anyone want to go to Trinity? I guarantee they will not win a championship in the next 4 years. We own them.”

If I were an 8th grader, I’d have to wonder what else he has said that might not come true…

Congrats Trinity on a hard fought win.

WAY TO GO ROCKS...No other word besides WOW. Rocks went in as the under dog and came out as the Big Dog. Great job goes to Coach Beatty and his staff for preparing their players. I said in a earlier thread, T couldn't get bigger and faster the last two months, but they did get smarter. So much for all the comments from people on BGP about "T is in the weaker bracket". Not just a few players played great, the entire TEAM played great. Again, HUGE congrats to Coach Beatty & staff, players and fans for a GREAT season. Very much looking forward to a repeat........

WOW

Don't know what else to say. What a hard fought game by both teams. I couldn't be more excited for the Trinity guys then I could be if my own son were playing. They overcame so many obstacles this year and put up with so much nay-saying and just went about doing their job. After the clunker against x in the September game all these Rocks have managed to do is win 10 straight games and with the exception of last night they weren't close. They embarrassed local rival Ballard (and that's always a good time) while knocking them from the undefeated ranks the the district, they beat a very athletic and well coached Fern Creek team twice and frustrated their gifted QB, they once again showed their superiority over the 4A teams from Northern Kentucky and proved that the loss last year was just a glitch, they stopped what many on here described as an unstoppable offense in Henry Clay while showing what a truly dominant offense looks like and to top in off in very st. x fashion they manhandled a team that everyone (and I must confess, myself included  ) felt was so physically dominant over them that even if they played a great game they may not have enough to win. For my doubts Rocks I apologize.

Way to go Rocks!!! You proved many people wrong and showed the heart of true champions. This win could be the best ever.

Congrats to St X on a great run. See ya in September.

What a shame that this player did what he did. He should have been flagged for an unsportsmanlike conduct. Water under the bridge as far as that goes, but it serioulsy gives all of the other fine young men that left it on the field for X, a bad name. St. X is a class act program, but individuals like this young man, can ruin it for everyone. Such a shame

STATE CHAMPS again. How sweet it is.

Petrino is tough, Got better as the year went on. I still say he's almost as good as Brohm.

Hats off to the Defense, Coach Bean. Really the defense took a Fan ripping this year. Defense stepped up last few games of year. Great job.

Hopefully Coach Beatty will be back.

WOW to sweet. ST.X never seen this coming.

For those of you playing the Class 4A edition of CLUE, the correct answers are...

Great Dane in the Red Zone, with a textbook tackle. Congrats to you #55 !

It feels even better today!!!

I think I know someone in that picture...

Me too!

Some kids are champions, even without a uniform. :thumb:

If you actually believe Coach Glaser says this then...

You obviously have no idea who Coach Glaser is or what he represents.
