July 9, 200917 yr Why in the world is Hernandez hitting fifth? Dusty drew straws. :idunno: I'd hit Owings 5th.
July 9, 200917 yr Dusty drew straws. :idunno: I'd hit Owings 5th. I'm going to preface this by saying that I'm quite sure Dusty forgot more about baseball than I know but....when Owings pitches shouldn't he hit Taveras 9th?
July 9, 200917 yr I know that westsider has said that Arroyo's contract status makes it impossible for the Reds to move him, and honestly I agree with him, but I can think of one trade that might possibly work. How about the Reds trade Arroyo and Chris Dickerson to the Dodgers for Juan Pierre. The Dodgers would get a innings eater who would benefit from pitching in a pitchers ball park, and a pretty decent 4th outfielder, while the Arroyo and Pierre contracts would basically cancel each other out. Gotta keep Dickerson. When Dusty comes to his senses or the Reds get rid of Dusty we will need a centerfielder. Dickerson has more upside than Pierre. I like the Rolen for EE depending on who the minor league pitcher is.
July 9, 200917 yr The only Reds batter with high trade value would be Votto and Phillips. Maybe Bruce due to long term value but this team really doesn't have much to trade.

July 9, 200917 yr First off nice start to the game. Now onto the complaining. That is terrible defense by Taveras, and not good by Dickerson.
July 10, 200917 yr Author Horrible call and it wasn't that close. And it cost the Reds a two run lead. These umpires in this series suck.
