July 10, 200917 yr Watching Taveras hit first or second constantly brings back memories of Corey Patterson ... in both Chicago and Cincinnati.
July 10, 200917 yr You forgot good ole Dick Pole:cool: I mispelled Pole, i didnt forget him. I about fell out of my chair the other night when he went to the mound to talk to Janish. What was he telling him. Give up the grand slam. Taveras should be fined anytime he hits the ball in the air, he has 1 homerun all year. His only chance to play is when he puts the ball on the ground. Is he dating another one of Dusty's daughters.
July 10, 200917 yr Author How about a Cordero for Cody Ross trade? That would free up millions of dollars for the Reds, give them a right handed hitting outfielder with some pop, and the Reds could make Masset the closer. http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/baseball/story/1135321.html

July 10, 200917 yr Author That would be just an awful awful trade. Why is that? Cordero's contract is awful. I'm sure the Reds would love to get rid of it.
July 10, 200917 yr Why is that? Cordero's contract is awful. I'm sure the Reds would love to get rid of it. If the Reds want to get rid of his contract, go after someone other than Cody Ross!! He might have home runs, but his average is awful. The Reds might be able to get a top notch prospect or 2 for Cordero, and if the Phillies are unable to get Halladay, and how Lidge has been so inconsistant, they have a few very high prospects that they would probably give up, 1 being a short stop and one being a pitcher. But straight up Cordero for Cody Ross, that is TERRIBLE!
July 10, 200917 yr Why is it Dusty's fault that the Reds are void of any true offensive talent besides Votto and the possibility of Phillips? Phillips would be a good #6 hitter but is not a hitter to carry a team in the 3, 4, or 5 slot.
July 10, 200917 yr Author If the Reds want to get rid of his contract, go after someone other than Cody Ross!! He might have home runs, but his average is awful. Yeah his .281 average would only be good enough for 2nd best on the Reds.:lol:
July 10, 200917 yr How about adding a hitter with 22 home runs (which would lead the Reds), 39 runs scored (which would be 4th on the Reds), 60 RBI's (which would lead the Reds)?
July 10, 200917 yr Author How about adding a hitter with 22 home runs (which would lead the Reds), 39 runs scored (which would be 4th on the Reds), 60 RBI's (which would lead the Reds)? I didn't think you were a Dunn fan?
July 10, 200917 yr I didn't think you were a Dunn fan? Absolutely was. I was a fan but also critical of him at the same time as I always thought he could do more but understood the special player he also was. He would be a nice bat in this lineup since he is putting up good numbers for a horrible Nationals team.
July 10, 200917 yr Author Well after looking at the match ups this weekend, and one can see that Dusty is at his best again. Seriously, you have to wonder what in the world is going thru his head. I'm sure most of you know that Dusty is sitting Bruce for 2 games to let him clear his head, and take some pressure off. I have no problem with that, but hey Dusty, why not give him 3 days off, instead of brining him back tomorrow night against J. Santana. :ohbrother::ohbrother::isurrender:
July 10, 200917 yr Nothing Dusty does amazes me anymore. He is a moron and we will never win with him because he plays favorites. No way Taveras should be in the lineup. I have no problem sitting Bruce, Give Nix and Gomes each a start in the outfield with Dickerson. Taveras is horrible. It's Cory patterson all over again. Wake up Bob C. Get rid of Dusty!!!!!
July 10, 200917 yr Reds should be able to get more for Cordero than Ross. He was a Red at one time already. Reds very well may be shoppers for prospects in a few weeks.
