Trying to get Bruce some fastballs.

Bruce should be batting 3rd.

Reds have to win this series. Will be tougher tonight, Johan is pitching for the Bison.

Strong OBP from the 1 and 2 hitters tonight. Those are some real table setters there.

I didn't know they were this bad on OBP before the post. This is from Lance's blog:

Worst OBP in MLB

Minimum 300 plate appearance

.284 Jay Bruce (128th out of 133)

.283 Willy Taveras (129th out of 133)

Worst OPS in MLB

Minimum 300 plate appearances

.575 Willy Taveras (133rd out of 133)

And who would you make the everyday RF?

I don't have a problem with Bruce hitting 2nd. I think it's worth a shot to see if he can get a few more fastballs hitting before Votto.

I just don't understand Dusty's reasoning of sitting him a few games to get his confidence back, then inserting him in the lineup against Santana??

Bruce hits .185 against lefties. Santana is THE elite lefty in the game. Go figure.

And who would you make the everyday RF?

Jay Bruce. After he spends about a week or so in Louisville to get his confidence back. I'm going to guess that maybe a club has done this once or twice with a 2nd year player before. I don't know just a guess:rolleyes:

So the Reds play nobody in RF for about a week?

doesn't warrant a response

Guess you folks who wanted Bruce benched are going to get your wish. That looked nasty.

May not be Jay Bruce for awhile. That didn't look good. :ohbrother:
