Figures that as soon as the Braves trade Francouer he gets a 2 run single in his first AB.

Santana would be an idiot to throw anything but changeups to Owings.

I hope Chris Heisy gets the call to the bigs.

Stubbs may be the choice.

I think he will be, and that's fine too. I just wish Heisy would get the call. The guy ripped through AA & is now doing well in his 1st 14 games in AAA. He may not be ready for the show, but he's been swinging a hot bat all year.

It's a malachicrunch's fault. :irked::lol:

Chris Dickerson should get most of the time in right now. What else does he need to do to get playing time?

Get those pictures that Patterson gave to Taveras. :lol:

Great question.

Dickerson is hitting over .300 over the past month. He was .329 coming into tonight.

Taveras was hitting .227 coming into tonight over the past month. Both he & Dickerson have 4 SB's this month.

I hate to see any player go down with an injury, but actually I'm rather excited to see what Stubbs can bring to the table. Bruce has nice power numbers, but it's not like he's been carrying the team on his back offensively. Change can be good, afterall five games out, what's there to lose?

Bruce is what 1st in homers and 2nd in RBIs on the team plus one of the better defensive RFs in the league? Sure he's been slumping at the plate for most of the season, but the alternative is going to have a tough time being close to better overall...

The slim chance this team had at staying competitive just went out the window....

Agreed, but I'm more worried about Bruce's future. He came up playing alongside 2 other outfielders who didn't care about avg, just wanted to hit the long ball.

Hopefully he'll be able to recover, get a short rehab stint in AAA & get back up to the bigs quickly.

There's a reason the kid is up at the Show. He tore it up in the minors AND he's our best option. The Reds are a more dangerous team with Jay Bruce in the field than without him.

They were interested also in driving in runs of which they were paid to do. One of the two you are alluding to, has more RBI's on a horrible team than anyone on the Reds does.
