July 9, 200917 yr This has been a very poorly umpired series You are exactly right. To the point where the Reds have let it bother them a little too much. Way too many missed calls, starting with Nix being safe in the top half of the inning.:idunno:
July 9, 200917 yr That sucks... these are the types of little losses that will put the Reds out of it. Gotta hope to split tomorrow 1/4 is not good.

July 9, 200917 yr It's good to know somebody gets it... Especially when the top teams in the Central seem to be getting it going. Playing .500 baseball is not going to be good enough to keep them in the race. They were very fortunate to hang in the race through the first half because the rest of the teams in the Central were struggling. They can't continue with this offense and stay anywhere near contention in the second half.
July 9, 200917 yr Pence is going to the All-Star Game this year. Hart went last year. If you look beyond the batting average, Bruce has been about as productive as the other two.No, he hasn't. Bruce's sub-.300 OBP is inexcusable, especially in such a hitters' park.
July 9, 200917 yr Author No, he hasn't. Bruce's sub-.300 OBP is inexcusable, especially in such a hitters' park. I realize that Bruce's OPB is awful, but when it comes down to it, all that matters is runs, whether they are runs driven in, or runs scored, and he is just as productive in those categories.
