Clyde
IMO this team will not have Dunn, Griffey, Arroyo, nor AGon by the end of this season. That's a lot of freed up money. How do you spend it?

I honestly don't think there's much out there via free agency at the end of the year that would address the Reds needs. The Reds need a right handed bat with some pop that could play OF, and a CF with a good OBP. I would also look at signing Volquez and Bruce to long term deals before they become eligible for arbitration, much like the Rays did with Longoria. Clyde
If Dunn is not here and your desire is to make the team better, you either need to replace his run production (scoring runs as well as homer and RBIs) and/or you need to do a better job at keeping the other team from scoring. The common thinking is that for every 10 runs differential in net runs, your record goes up one game. I doubt there is a 40HR/100runs/100RBI/high OPS guy on the market so you have to think the run production goes down. Where can you then get the extra runs or improve the staff? Dunns rankings this year Walks #1. Great if you want your big power hitter trotting to 1st base. HRs #8 Good OBP #26 OK RBIs #39 not so hot Runs #78 woops, even worse. Unfortunately the Reds had a guy last year that is putting up comparable stats. No not Hobbs (he is head and shoulders above Dunn). Any guesses?
