STRIKE3
A combination of veterans, with new players and some looking to establish themselves, will often result in the inconsistency, the Reds are having. Pitching is not very good in the middle and lack of speed, hurts this team. No true leadoff man, with too many spots not producing....Bottom line, struggling now but they will get on a role. mcpapa
Even with all that considered: Reds runs scored 210 (4.57 per game) Reds runs allowed 223 (4.85 per game) How can that produce the worst record in the league? Just look at the first 11 games in May and you get your answer. W 11-2 L 1-3 L 5-7 L 5-6 L 7-9 W 9-3 L 4-5 L 6-7 L 2-3 W 9-5 L 0-2 59 runs scored, 52 runs allowed. 3-8. Win big once in a while, lose close a lot.

h.s.sportsrbest
They've been tied going into the 8th inning 8 times and are 0-8. Th...th...th...th..th..that's all folks. :thumb:
cooperstown
That's okay - they've fixed that problem now. Given that Lohse is getting hammered like a BP pitcher, Belisle has only 2 quality starts in his last 7 outings, and Harang just not pitching like he has in the past (only 1 quality start in last 5 outings), I don't think they'll even be in many close games come the 8th inning. And if they do accidentally find themselves in a tight game, the easiest way to cure that problem is to bring in Stanton or Coffey - they get racked and it takes pressure off the offense from having to produce anything. It's a plan . . . .
