We will have a pregame show live at KSBar tomorrow from 12-1 central time if anyone wants to come out. The show will obviously be Owensboro Catholic heavy but it should be a good time! 

These guys are fixing to get a reality check . 

After listening to that show, I’m scared to show up. They are gonna have the biggest crowd of any team at state by 6 times. They have the best qb in the state Atwell. They have the best lb in the state Vince Carrico. They also have the best player in the state Tutt Carrico. They all told us there isn’t any chance of Mayfield winning. So, why even get up and drive 4 plus hours to watch?  If it rains, they are just going to run all over us. Juju is only good at stretch plays, they can shut him down by making him cut it back to the middle. Cartwright is only slightly better at qb than the Owensboro qb. 

I'm sure it's just you all being smart allecks(?) but why do you get so defensive if someone picks the other team? Wasn't this the same kind of attitude you carried into the state finals during the second matchup with Hazard?

Mayfield for having one of the most storied and accomplished programs in the nation, has a group of the most hyper senisitive fans. Not all Card fans are that way but a big group are. Who cares what a homer radio show says. Of course they are going to say those things on an Owenboro show. I don't undertsand getting so bent out of shape every time someone doesn't pick your team. Red helmet video is going to be pro Mayfield as you would expect. An OC radio show is going to hype up OC.

You have got to be joking. All that is all over this message board is how OC has no chance. There is that thin skin Mayfield fan again. Mad that a team is confident, and not cowering at the thought of playing Mayfield. I'm sure you believe they should have said they have no shot, and they're just happy to be going to get beat by the best football team of all time. Ridiculous.

I have arrived at the grocery, enjoyed the thread on this game all week and it was fun getting to cut up with all. Here’s to the hopes no one gets hurt and it’s a great game. Go Big Red!

I mean, we were interviewing a Coach and players from Owensboro Catholic. The focus was more on them than Mayfield for the interviews. I would hope the players believe they’re going to win the game. Not sure what else you would expect?

We’ve talked about Mayfield all week outside just this show yesterday. We will do the same today at KSBar. That said, we’re obviously going to lean Catholic. There is no disrespect to Mayfield here. Phenomenal program and an absolute rabid fan base (which I personally love). Safe travels to everyone this morning! 
 

I do think this game is going to be a close one. I’m going to stay homer and go Catholic 35-28 but I do have some concerns about slowing down Starks. The time for talk is about over. It’s time for the main event!

I’m not expecting anyone cowering.  We want their best.  However, I guarantee you that you would never hear Coach Joe Morris or any of his players get on any sports radio or television show and guarantee they were gonna win.  Me on the other hand, yeah I might.  Because, as everyone will tell you, I am forever the optimist.  Plus, I seen enough of this over the years that I know in most cases when I hang my hat on the Cards, they win  

 

A little over an hour to go.....this going to be a close game?  Looks like there is a lot of hype with some really good players from both teams coming into this game.  Looking forward to listening.
