Fair enough. I tend to agree it probably won't be him and Beechwood will do better but didn't know if there was a more specific reason.

 Yeah, more so if he didn’t get Scott, for whatever the reason found in interview process, or not the experience they were looking for, he won’t get the BW job.

I would have to imagine Eviston is more likely to take the Beechwood job than he would be with the Moeller job. As Beechwood would present a more stable position than Moeller would, his commute would be virtually the same to Beechwood as to CovCath, and, not sure how this works with independent school district, but would his children be required to pay tuition or would Eviston being an employer come with free tuition although outside of Fort Mitchell.

I could see him considering for reasons already listed, but given the list, I think he may be the favorite on the list.

No idea on the tuition question and I think I agree on Beechwood over Moeller (can't believe I just said that) but Moeller is Ohio D1 football and Beechwood is Kentucky small school football so who knows.

Agreed. I think he’ll be THE favorite or A favorite for whatever job he chooses to pursue, that’s the big question though. Is he pursuing any of them, or is he prepared to remain at CovCath for the foreseeable future, especially with a favorable district and class 4A.

Yes, Eviston does teach.

And I agree that He has to be the favorite for both.  I would imagine The Beechwood is the favorite for Him as He could have 20-25 years of success at that school for sure.

This would put a whole new spin on the CCH/Beechwood rivalry for sure…..especially over the next few years.

Bernie Barre and another Beechwood great, Jim Proccacino, both came to Beechwood the same year as student teachers and stayed.  Bernie was Fred Mariani’s assistant coach for the 74 team that was the first Beechwood team to go down state (but lost). He also was then the assistant for Jeff Slagle’s one year as coach the following year, and became HC in 1976.

FWIT, I also heard that none of the assistant coaches want the job.

Let's be honest, if almost every coach in NKY/ KY don't apply they are crazy, right? Career job with a chance at state? How many jobs in the state can say that? In NKY, NCC, Beechwood, Highlands?, CovCath? Should coaches not look to find better jobs/ compete at the highest level possible.

I agree, as I stated in my first comment about him, I’m sure he applies, but he will not get it.

I’m sure this is the case for most guys in the area, both Head Coaches at smaller schools, and assistant coaches at bigger schools. Why not? You don’t know until you try. 

Beechwood is a special place, and a proven winner, would expect a ton of applicants.

The only name on that list that generates any interest for me is Terry Brown.
