Nope in 2029 this Frosh has already been crown National Champs and won the CFP and the newly minted European Champion commissioned just for them since the first 2 Championships were soooooo easy for them. All starters skipped College and went straight to starting in the NFL. Roll Colonels as usual!!!

This sums up football right here for sure. That was a great team and I had no idea about their rough start. That is a great story to hear and entirely comparable.

Only 4 starters remain from that 7th Grade team that lost as this Freshman Team has 7 new players who start, including the Best OL/DL from that St. Henry Team. So no, this Freshman Team did not lose to them, but the 7th grade team did..... because 7th grade results matter years later. Keep reaching.

Totally agree. The Beechwood staff developed an absolutely perfect purpose built game plan tailored to beat CCH and it worked. You could not afford to sit Queen in the pocket and wait for the deep route to open because Johnny Lind and the CCH would have decimated Queen especially with His lack of mobility. The Beechwood coaching staff completely took away CCH's clear advantage at the Line and had Queen game Manage(instead of unleashing His cannon) by getting the ball out fast to the outside where 10-15 yard gains were the norm all night long. Throw in Pabst, who simply enough cannot be said about(WOW), and Fryman in an effective wildcat/change of pace, and you have recipe that turned out perfect. Beechwood game planned to take their weakness and turn it into a strength while negating CCH's greatest strength. I mean anything all night that came Lind's way He stuffed it and Beechwood in game adjusted spectacularly to account for Lind doing damage. As a Colonel fan it about made me ill, but as a football fan you to admire it and respect it. Kudos to the Beechwood Coaching Staff and respect to Lind and that Colonel DLine who are respected enough to be completely game planned around. We all won't see a Friday night like this for awhile. Great atmosphere, great game.....wish it was different outcome. Congrats Tigers and Roll Colonels!

Man, you are lost. You keep swinging and missing on info you have no direct knowledge of along with a skewed view of talent to put it kindly. Feel free to continue to "evaluate' the Frosh Colonels a 1,000 feet away. When you can legit name a team that has taken the field with 8 two-way starters in street clothes, then maybe "negative press is factually warranted'. It is just petty and small to think otherwise. And yes, St. Henry has gained some players from CCH, but it is no one who would have an impact this year or for any upcoming classes. This Frosh team lost 2 players to St. Henry that in the past had no impact so it was a zero loss. And Brayden has been in the St. Henry system since Kindergarten and was never going to go Cov. Cath. and it's not anything about who is the better school, He was just always going to St. Henry period. And good for Him that He is getting varsity minutes as a Freshman as that usually happens when a team is only in their 2nd varsity season and looking for bodies. I would love to see the crystal ball or peyote you are using to determine how good Hughes would be on a team where basically no starters have seen the field yet. He would not even be close to the athlete our QB is as I cannot wait until He gets turned loose next season. The Frosh Colonels are in for a rough road as every single team would be in the exact same situation and they will weather it and be fine. I was also in the stands last night as I am for every Frosh game and those that are "worried' are overreacting because it's a terrible situation for these players who started working their butts off together in February and now will never get to have a Frosh season together to know that is like to play together and what could have been. They don't quit in games even though they have zero bench now and even though they know they are outmanned so I will take their character every day and all day on Sunday. They are making that leap from grade school to Freshman under a ton adverse conditions that are just wacky and that is what builds greatness.....the hard road and the hard path. Their time will come and those that have paid attention know that. Roll Colonels!

Facts are a scary thing I know. However, facts are easy at 20/20 vision and when you actually have first hand, direct knowledge of all that is going on.

This! St. Henry, no disrespect, has had and will have zero impact on Colonel Football. This frosh team was the big school runner up in the 6th grade in the GCYL and had a winning record as 7th graders. 8th grade was devastating year for this squad as they dealt with 2 very key/devastating injuries while at the same time losing 4 additional core/key starters to baseball - and not to St. Henry. Tate Kruer's 8th grade squad went winless, as @UKato91 pointed out in the Colonel 2026 team thread, and were not good as frosh and then by senior year they absolutely rolled, and balled out en route to one of the biggest upsets in recent memory beating nationally 15th ranked Boyle County on the road. 2028 & 2029 will be no issue for this squad. For this year, if you look at the sidelines you have more kids in street clothes than in uni's. Not one team yet has played this frosh team even close at full strength, and will not. They have had as many as 8 two-way starters out for the first 4 games with 3rd string WR's playing on both lines. With 4 minutes left in the first quarter of the first game against Highlands they watched 3 starters, including their starting QB go to the hospital. That included 1 who left via ambulance, immobilized after a 45 minute pause on the field and it left them devastated and utterly and criminally undermanned. You are beating a shell of this team. It's neither an accomplishment nor an upset because we all know by 2029 what the results will be when they take the field as seniors.....dominance, period. Wait until everyone sees their QB play next year.....and Dylan Courtney, our current varsity QB and arguably the best QB in NKY, missed his 8th grade & frosh seasons, with the same injury the current frosh QB has and the results speak for themselves now and they will in 2028 & 2029. The frosh QB is special and on another level. They start to get healthy this week slowly, but will never be at full strength this year. St. Henry, while a tremendous school, no doubt about it, is not having any impact on Cov. Cath. football whatsoever, and will not. They are not comparable in the slightest. This frosh team will have tough sledding no doubt so everyone can take some joy in it now and get a notch in their belt because it is just blip that will explode away decisively starting next year. The future will see the same standard met and exceeded for this class as is the usual at Cov. Cath. as this team gets healthy and seasoned as is always the case. The Frosh Colonels will absolutely be fine going forward. Only folks not in the know are worried as this is a special group that no one yet has seen them play.....and when you do it will be Roll Colonels!!!

I was less than 10 feet away on top of the play, it happened. It was intentional and dirty. It was clear. Crystal clear.

Out with a broken arm after a late dirty hit 5 yards out of bounds that the Ref's decided they needed to not protect a 14 year old on.....Highlands up 35-0 at the half while CCH is missing 8 starters currently including their QB, top 2 receivers/db's, 4 lineman and another receive/ safety.....

Taken off my ambulance.....funny how on Saturday a CCH player is taken off by Ambulance and Ryle has the class, dignity, and manhood to take a knee and stay on a knee the entire time He was down while Highlands was On a knee for 30 seconds.....totally fits. Proud of Cov. Cath. For being Men, always.....and Ryle as well....way to go Men!!!!!

Not sure how much can be said, but a young Colonel landed directly on His head, had a movement in all extremities, but was taken to the hospital via Ambulance from the field in a great amount of pain and considerable trouble breathing. I am told there is still an MRI to be taken, but there will be a very very long road to recovery based on earlier X-Rays……our prayers are certainly with you Young Colonel!

Without question! Kid is big time with an absolute Cannon for an arm. A lefty will be spinning it and will look insane!!!

New White Uni’s for this year that I think really pop big time. They would look sensational in Blue, but the Blue’s are not in line to be replaced for a bit…..

2 things I can say about this : they went extremely Vanilla all night staying in 1-2 basic looks and there is nothing, absolutely nothing work in progress about that Defense. I know Courtney will sling the Rock all over the place, but the D is going to be the star of the show this year…..that unit is insane….

Focusing on baseball is what I am told…..the front 7 for the Colonel D is loaded so He may have seen some writing on the wall…..that being said, Payne is absolute beast of an all around athlete……will be missed for sure

Dang. That is completely my bad on that……I should be better informed. Sorry to hear. I do remember Him at past games and it was always such a great experience and environment on those nights for sure
