The question on the resume would be Talawanda High School record the last two years. I wondered what the history is at Talawanda before Volker became head coach. Here it is:

2020 = 3-5

2019 = 7-3

2018 = 2-7

2017 = 1-8

2016 = 2-8

2015 = 1-10

2014 = 7-4

2013 = 4-5

2012 = 1-8

2011 = 0-10

2010 = 1-9

2009 = 1-8

2008 = 4-6

So over the past 15 years, 2 winning seasons. In 10 of the 15 years, 2 or fewer wins. Tough program to take on as your first head coaching stop.

….says it all right there.

I will not believe the hire until it comes from a Beechwood High School Source. A BHS Twitter, Facebook, etc. until then the job is still open.

Honest questions here for general conversation, but why do you say that you will not believe it? His resume?

It's official. Beechwood just posted it on their Facebook page. Jay Volker hired as new head football coach.
