I have no clue on who will or won’t apply. I’m just assuming there will be high profile coaches to apply since it’s one of the best jobs in the state.

2 NKY guys that might be on the list that BW will either call or they will call BW will be:

Coach Lickert

Coach Barth

just throwing it out there.....

Any front runners for this job yet?

Wondering if anyone on staff a no brainer “handoff” choice as this is sort of late in the game to lose your head coach, and I’m sure Noel thought about that as well.

Immediate thoughts as this is a solid job, with a great community who supports their school and coaches well.

Greg Hergott - handoff hire

Eddie Eviston - go into a situation where he is more appreciated & multiple sport athletes are encouraged and necessary.

Bert Bathiany - brings him home.

Ashley Moser - Alumni with a lot of success at CovCath.

Moser and Hergott doesn’t want the job.

Great coach. Wish him all the best in the next phase. Loved watching my boy get to play for him, get mentored by him, and experience winning with him. This picture sums up how close he was/is with his players, and shows the fun side. The lineman would do this pose after every win. Rash joined in after state title. Classic.

I think he should have a couple of these pictures from the last couple of years. ?

I know for a fact Moser and Hergott doesn’t want it unless they change their minds.

Makes sense, just spit balling here.

Oh I know what you are saying. I’m courious on who will apply as well.

I have a father/son combo they can have.  The only NKY coach with a chance would be Eviston IMO.

Hoping Ashley Moser gets the job he is a great coach and great guy!

Don’t disagree with you, but as @Jason Bucklenstated, he’s not interested. And I believe he has his own practice, not sure he would have the time needed to run a program like Beechwood.

I know one other father/son combo Highlands fans would enjoy:

Dave Wirth, Sr. & Jr.

Hergott is most likely a no. Bathiany is very interesting. Feel like Eviston would be a slam dunk easy choice if he’s even interested.

Bathiany wanted highlands job, didn’t get it. Not sure how long Sphire stays there, as I’d assume he’ll go after it again as soon as it’s open. In the meantime, I could see him coming closer to home at a well established program. Not sure I’d make a hire knowing someone will bounce, or attempt to bounce shortly after, but maybe he comes in and makes Beechwood his new home. But the days of coaches sticking around at a single place for 15-20 years are over. Noel may the last “lifer” we see in the area.

As for Eviston, I believe he has family at Beechwood, would no longer have to deal with kids leaving because they are told to pick one sport, and would be supported by the community much more than he is at CovCath.

He's my dentist, great guy.  Really hope he doesn't take the job because my wife and I really enjoy seeing him twice a year.
