I know he is not a teacher but has asst. coaching experience and is a Beechwood legend. Would Brandon Berger be a potential candidate?

I’m in strong agreement with this. Why go outside especially if others are there familiar to the culture already and respected by the school and community. I would go outside only if the coach is well proven. Keeping it internal makes more sense to me if it’s possible.

I know we are all dealing with speculation now but I had someone that usually knows what is going on at Beechwood tell me no current assistants will get the job.  Take that speculation for what it is worth.

I’m sure most of them aren’t interested in the job as well.

I think Coach Barre was an assistant first to Coach Fred Mariani.  This old thread gives us some info.  Anyone? @Beechwoodfan

Gotta wonder if there will be a big staff turnover. I worry with an outside hire they don’t keep the tradition that makes that staff great.

I am concerned about that too.  Coach Rash really had it rolling and no matter who the new coach is there will be changes and you never know how the assistants are going to take it.

I ask because I do not get the impression that there is a lot of teacher turnover in the building at Beechwood and if they MUST be a teacher that could limit the coaching pool. I would hope that is not the case and honestly think Beechwood would make a position available for the right guy. Also, very few head coaches I have come across actually teach (maybe a class or two a day). What did Rash teach? Just curious what you think. 

Another name that I would throw out as a potential applicant could be Joe Wynn from Mason Co. 

I’m sure he’ll apply, as he did with Scott, but no way he gets the job.

He was passed over for a Campbell Co. job and Scott both. Hard to see Beechwood latching on. Outside of a lack of any kind of long tenure at a coaching stop, I'm not sure why though.

I have no idea but if he didn't get hired at Scott there is no way Beechwood is going to hire him.

I do not believe he is the man for the job. Beechwood will find a much better coach.
