  • That's my thought too. Not discounting his ability or what he's accomplished, but I do feel that he landed in the perfect situation.

He is the GOAT! He is 44 years old and will go out with an MVP season still. Absolutely amazing! Congrats Tom Brady on the best professional career ever IMO.

Wow. That is big news. Why do I have a thought in the back of my mind that he might come back again?

I’ll believe it when I hear Brady say it.

No retirement tour and steals some of Big Ben's shine.

Yeah.  In 5 years they'll both be inducted in Canton and no one outside of Oxford OH and Pittsburgh will remember Ben is going in.

The Tampa media members are being just as firm in their stance that Brady hasn't decided as ESPN is in theirs that he is retiring. This will be interesting to see how it officially unfolds.

Kinda strange.

And to clarify, this isn’t ESPN exclusively reporting that he is retiring.

Undisputed GOAT.

I'm with you, about this time last year he was saying he might play for ever.

Outside of just being blatantly jealous of him, I’ve never understood some of the hatred TB got over his career.

So Brady - despite people thinking ESPN and others were making up the story - officially announced his retirement on IG about an hour ago. The crazy part about it… he went through a laundry list of people to thank such as his family, agent, trainer, Tampa Bay, etc. But no mention of anything New England. That’s obviously intentional and I am all here for it!

This is the second time I've seen this take. I thought he did a good job of thanking them when he left New England, so that thank you was already satisfied.
