I have a good friend who has almost the exact same story. I don't know if he has the exact same condition as you but it is a condition he has had since birth and it was heart valve related. He is about 40 and had another surgery last August and everything went great. He is doing fantastic and feels great today. I am sure with modern medicine you too will come through this with flying colors. Prayers to you on a fast recovery.

I penciled you in my calendar for Friday, April 5 so that I remember to pray for you and your family on that day. I will remember you before our Father in Heaven prior to that day as well.

UKMF I know this is a scary or uncertain time, but just know you have loved ones and a whole lot of people that you've never met, that are in your corner. We are all pulling for you and will be praying for you.

Any surgery is scary, but open heart is even more so. The nurse part of me says you are young and you will be fine. Think about how frightened your parents must have been when you were an infant and had surgery. Things have gotten much safer since then.

 

That being said, if it was me, I would still be terrified. I assume you are comfortable with your doctor and the hospital. Keep the faith in your doctor and power through. You can do this!
