stickymitts
As much as this hurts to say Go Mets! Not much better than a game 7...

romeo 4 president
Jeff Suppan versus Oliver Perez, doesn't get much better than that. Still, there is not much in sports that is any better than a Game 7 with everything on the line. I hope the Mets win, just so I don't have to see Larussa anymore this postseason. The Professor
Not much interest in this game tonight? Blame it on the 1994 strike. A lot of die-hard fans have had a difficult time getting interested again!

stickymitts
I can't tell you how many times I've had to tell people that a pitch that hits the ground and the batter next is NOT a dead ball and the batter does get first. Hopefully they're watching.
cshs81
Here's something I don't understand. When its an obvious sacrifice situation with the pitcher up to bat, why give him an easy pitch to bunt? Why not make him chase a bad pitch or two? The Professor
I think they lose there "die-hard" status... That strike really hurt baseball, regardless of your opinion. I've never been able to get back into the game, until the post-season play begins. IMO that's the loss of a die-hard fan. I used to live and die baseball during the regular season, but not anymore. And I'm not alone.

And I'm not alone. I'm not disputing the fact that it hurt baseball, not sure where that came from. However, I will dispute the fact that anyone is a die-hard if they no longer watch baseball because of the strike 13 years ago. IMO, casual fan is more suited... Not saying it's right or wrong, just not a die-hard.
