November 19, 201510 yr I think this year's team will be better OFFENSIVELY. Perimeter D will also be better. The overall flow of the offense will be better. However I have a hard time seeing this offense executing better than last year's team during crunch time. Last years team was great defensively but their offense was also really good and most importantly could make the plays at the end when a bucket had to be made. Defensively the pressure this year's team can put on the ball will be better. However overall defensively it won't be. Shoot last years team was on a record pace most of last year on defense.

Replace the twins with Murray and Briscoe on last year's team and opponents would have been happy to play within 20 points. They would have cruised to the championship.
November 19, 201510 yr I had hope that Grayson would be like Scheyer the year that they won it all where he is a SG but playing PG, but I dont see it out of him. I can't figure out Allen. I will say the more the ball was in his hands, the better I felt on Tuesday night. He is one of a lot of guys that do this, but I can't stand when players are more concerned with drawing contact (and trying to seal it) than trying to play.
November 20, 201510 yr I have gotten this sentiment from many that this "team is more suited to the college game." I am not sure what that means, but last year UK won their first 38 games. In college. That style of ball last year led them to a final four and only one loss all season. I am really excited about this years team after what I saw last night and they will be fun to watch. However I think people forget how freaking good last years team really was, and how fun it was to watch last years team. Maybe the idea of going 40 and 0 made people more nervous during games, and didn't enjoy it as much. However last years group was very fun to watch because they could do it all. They could play defense, rebound, go inside, drive the lane, shoot the ball, hit free throws. Not to mention anytime there was a play to be made at the end of the game they stepped up and made it. Well except for that dang final four game. I know people live in the moment, but this year has to play out a lot more for me to say I will like this team better lol. When firing on all cylinders it was a tour de force last year. That team wins last night's game by 25. And that is not a slight against Duke, just highlighting how overpowering they could be. They beat Kansas in this same moment 72-40. I get all of that, and yes last years team was a once in a lifetime team. They were stacked top to bottom and were historic in size and depth. All I'm saying is that if you look at past history teams normally win it all in college primarily on elite guard play and long, athletic bigs. Kentucky was an inside out team last year and rightfully so. Like you all have said they were one of the best teams ever assembled so I don't want to take anything away from them. However, what I am saying is I feel this team is more suited for what typically wins in college and that is with its guards. Obviously by calling last years team a pro team instead of a college team is not a knock on them. Just pointing out that last years team was trying a different recipe, and for 38 games it worked flawlessly. I just like the way this team is set up in terms of potential success when you analyze the teams that have cut down the nets over the years.
