I want nothing more than Highlands to win it all. I have been a Highlands fan long before I knew I was a Highlands fan. Pretty much at birth. I have been thru the highs and lows of Highlands football. I'm not a fair weather fan. I care.

 

I just want everyone to care about Highlands football as much as I do and want it to mean as much to these players as it has meant to past players. I want them to get mad. I want them to get upset. I want them to leave it all on the field every game and I am just not seeing it.

Still call some high school games when my schedule allows. The UC site has consumed most of my time, but I haven't totally turned my back on NKY sports...

I completely disagree. Ryle had to go road warrior for all of their significant games and dominated. Im giving them a first game and away pass with Cov Cath. SK will might get the win against the Raiders in the reg season but Ryle will get the Neers in the playoffs. Tanner Morgan is the leading passing in NKY and he will be the difference maker. I wouldn't put to much stock in SK beating H at home this year.

 

Trust me, I'm not putting much stock in SK beating HHS anywhere this year. I wasn't talking about the HHS game per say, I mean if anyone is putting any worth into beating HHS this year and using that to see how good a team is then they are missing the point. I was talking about how some seem to be overlooking Cooper. Ryle and Cooper I think will be a much better game than SK and Ryle. Ryle has to get past Cooper first before having any grandure of getting down state. That was what I was talking about when I talked about Ryle struggled to get past CCH (who lost to Lex Cath) and Lex Cath who not only lost to Cooper but got shut out by Cooper. Both teams that Ryle only won by 7 against.

 

Don't overlook Cooper. Remember this was the same Cooper team that held SK to their lowest output and only gave up 6 points in the second half.

 

Ryle very wel could be the best NKY team, but when you are only looking at SK to worry about beating you may be setting yourself up for a surprise in a couple weeks when they play that other Union school.

Men playing boys really? I seen a couple of your MEN as you call them playing very dirty and toward the end being thrown like rag dolls. Anyone at the game tonight would have seen sk should have had more penalties than was called. They was a very dirty team.

YogA is not easy now. Seriously I don't think the way they train has anything to do with the wins and losses. I know the lineman did participate in an event out at Ryle where they did a bunch of crazy stuff with tires, truck pulls, etc.

As I have said many times the sheer number of players on the roster means absolutely nothing other than you have more equipment and uniforms to buy. It's quality not quantity. BW got thumped by a larger roster, CCH, but beat them soundly last year. BW was all over SK a couple of years ago (1A vs 6A) and lost a close one to them the following year and would probably be greatly overmatched against them this year. This all goes in cycles folks. Enjoy the good years when you have them and accept the down years when they come about. Smoke 'em if ya got 'em.
