Just an FYi Guru... Lloyd had not 1, not 2, but 10 turnovers vs. Scott.. I bet Boone rebounds in this one! We will see what kind of coaching Boone truly has this week I believe.

Ryle runs wild.

4A Holmes vs. 5A Boone County. Who wins this game. Both teams scrimmaged Dixie in the preseason. Both teams made Dixie look much improved over last year. Result?

They should all get Official of the year recognition. Putting up with all the horse hockey they do, and the traveling. Give them all an award!

Everyone is entitled to their opinions on this. I do not recall questions any coaches game decision on here or a coaching change. I do feel that the powers to be at the school only care that the programs run smoothly without a bunch of parent complaints or feed back. I think wins and losses are low on the priority list for them. But when the parents complain long and loud enough it sure seems like the coaches get booted. I have no dog in the fight as far as who the coaches are but make sure they get a fair shake and let them run their program not the parents.

Comparing the girls programs to the boys programs is a joke. I don't care how title 9 crazy you are. The girls program at Ryle has always been solid now they have talent. That's awesome. The boys program has never consistently won. Different beast. If you don't understand why then I cant explain it to you. I hope I m wrong and that he turns things around at Ryle. But there are no Mr. Basketballs in the hall ways in any of the schools that feed Ryle. There are no boys that dedicate themselves to the program at this point. We will see if he can turn things around! Ill sit back an watch. Hope they have good popcorn!

This is why he was not the best hire! He has spent his entire career at PC. Never had to deal with football program. PC is a true basketball school. Ryle is in shambles. Administration has no clue how to support a program. Heck the AD wasn't even in any of the interviews. Now that is a joke. He will have his hands full not only trying to get the kids out, but dealing with the Triple Crown prince and princesses will be something he never experienced before. This is one of those programs where coaching careers die.

There is not a single team in Northern Kentucky that can stay within 20 or more of Colerain!

Ryle job is a whole different beast than Pendleton County. If he gets the job he better be ready for an eye opening experience!

Heard he just interviewed today. And already hired? Doubtful! Heard they only interviewed two people. Belcher and Shumate. But that is just the rumormill.

I have a question? Per the KHSAA website since 1997-98 season to current Ryle has had only 8 winning seasons. Best record was 24-10. 0nly one other 20 win season in that time frame. What makes this a desirable job? Why has a school this size not fared better to this point?

Nobody has ever won at South Dearborn. Could be one of the worst jobs in the state of Indiana.

I doubt that Coach Wolf cheated any player on his team out of playing time. If there was ever a coach I know that played kids who deserved to be playing it is him!!!

As I mentioned before. This job is not one for the faint of heart. He better have plenty of experience. He better know how to get the parents and administration and kids all on the same page. If not it will be the same situation all over again. He better also bring in a staff that knows how to do these things also. A good head coach is only as good as the people around him. That is what makes and breaks head coaches. The ability to get everyone to believe in their system from the x's and o's , to the expectations of the student athletes. The role that the parents have and contrary to popular belief, parents do play a role in sports programs. Most importantly they have to get unwavering support from the administration. The last being the biggest key to success in my opinion. Good luck my friend to who ever earns the right to be the next Ryle Raider basketball coach!

This isn't a job for someone who doesn't have head coaching experience already. This program is in turmoil from the top down. It will need someone who has experience rebuilding a program. Has to get middle school and elementary feeders involved. Lots of work to be done! Good luck to the next Coach!!! And he best bring quality people along for the ride!

Ryle is bad. In all phases of the game.

If Coach Eckstein is helping with the Raiders offense. 1. That is awesome to hear!!! 2. Get ready for the old Rebels offense and a heavy dose of Goal line slam, even on 4th and 22! lolol!

Ryles problem at QB stems from the lack of development of QB's by the Union Raiders program. QB's must start out at an early age, play the position, learn the position and put in the work. I high school coach then fine tunes that player to fit the teams schemes. The old saying of you can't make chicken salad out of chicken poo! You have to have kids coming in the program who have the physical and mental ability to play the position. So far from what ive seen Ryle has had only one player since Coach Engler has been there fit that and it was Tanner Morgan. He and his father put in the time and effort to get him ready to play the position. Not seen a single player or family other than him do that!
