With 100 days until ballots are counted, Conway edges Bevin 45 to 42 percent. The poll — conducted for WKYT-TV, the Lexington Herald-Leader, the Louisville Courier-Journal, and WHAS-TV — asked 1,000 adults about the battle to replace term-limited Gov. Steve Beshear. July 30, 201511 yr Author Governor Beshear has a 51% approval rating (33% disapproval), according to the Bluegrass Poll. I would think that has to somewhat benefit Conway.

True but KY's democrats generally elect pretty moderate governors, I believe the vast majority of KY past Dem Gov's over the past few decades wouldn't stand a chance in elections on the west coast or Northeast. Conway seems to lean a bit further left so they seem to have nominated a more "true" democrat this time around.
July 31, 201511 yr I think the lose to Mitch took a lot of steam out of the political says of Bevin. He may never recover from that slugfest.

August 2, 201511 yr Harvey Dent (er Jack Conway) in a cake walk!!! He will win by 8-10% They do look just alike. Almost eerily so... Not sure why I never made that connection before, but it is weird the resemblance is so close.
